Hi, I am new to this. My surgery was nearly 3 years ago and I have never had support or help in this way. I have been fortunate and lost all my excess weight within the first 18 months. Now after all this time, I am in severe pain when I eat one bite or take a drink of anything. I am alone and very scared. When I tried to contact my doctor, I was informed he has moved and the nurses never call back. I keep hoping it will "get better" but doesn't it sound like a slip??? I was self-pay and if I have to have surgery, will my insurance cover it? How do I find the answers to these questions??? PLEASE SOMEONE OUT THERE HELP ME...:thumbdown:

I had my lapband at Central Baptist in the fall of 2009. Dr. Oldham performed my surgery and I have had all my fills at your Lexington and Georgetown offices. I have not had one since May 2009 and have done well maintaining my goal weight for the past year. For the past few weeks, I have endured severe pain when I eat even a bite of food and now drink any liquid. I called the office and was informed that Dr. Oldham is no longer there. Could you please tell me where to turn? I am so frightened and in so much pain. I am alone and don't know what to do.
