I accidently did a backflip when I hit the water off a water slide at Great Wolf Lodge at my daughter's birthday party. I immediately had what felt like a stitch in my side a few inches below my port. The rest of the week it would still hurt if I was on my feet a lot. I went to the doctor and they did an ultrasound to make sure I hadn't flipped my port, which I didn't. The doctor said it sounded like I pulled one of the stitches out of the muscle. He said there are several stitches, so the port should be OK as long as I'm careful. He said the muscle needs time to heal. My question is: has anyone else pulled a stitch loose? If so, how long did it take before the muscle healed? It has been 10 days and it still hurts when I'm on my feet for a while, especially when I try to excercise. I have only lost one pound since this happened. Before this I had finally found my sweet spot and was consistantly losing 2 pounds a week. I hate that this has stalled my progress.
