My name is Jenn and I will be Banded on March 31, 2010. I just found out this week that my insurance approved the surgery when the surgeon's office called to set the date. I'm going through a whole range of emotions, but I am certain this is the right thing for me.

I'm a 34 year old, high school journalism teacher. I'm four classes away from having my master's degree in guidance counseling, and will be pursuing a job as a counselor next year.

I'm single and no children, but I am the proud mama to a 3 year old Bassador (Basset Hound/Lab mix) named Earnee.

Good Luck! How exciting so much is going well for you. March 31 is my daughter's birthday, so I know that will be a good day and you will be blessed. I am hoping to get banded sometime in April/May. Keep us posted on your sucess.

Forgot to mention that I read your profile and noticed you live in Louisville, KY. I lived there for awhile and moved in 2008 to Florida. My daughter still lives there. In April I will be visiting Louisville to graduate from Sullivan University. Good Luck to you!

You're awesome! I'm glad I met ya and am wishing you all sorts of luck! We have so much in common - right around the same age, I'm not married (do have a boyfriend), no kids, high school teachers...GO US! I'm excited for you to begin this journey! ;)
