Weird question about the liquids

Can we have unsweetend applesauce. I am very constipated what other foods would help with that?

:w00t: I guess I should say I was just banded on the 13th so I am still on liquid diet.

Miralax was my best friend the first couple weeks :w00t:

I think applesauce is the mushies stage.

Prune juice might help you.

I was banded on the 8th and I have not made a number two either...is that normal? What should I do?

Make sure you are drinking plenty of your fluids & are moving. pain meds can make you constipated unfortunately. So I only took mine when i HAD too. Miralax is still my friend. However, they do have a Light Prune juice w/ less calories at Super Walmart. :w00t:

If you're on a liquid diet, it's NOT unusual not to have a BM; think about it: what is there to eliminate from your body that the kidneys can't handle?

If you're on full liquids, there will be some residue--but again, not a lot.

You were just banded, so I would not be concerned at this point. OTOH, if it's a matter of comfort, my doctor okayed OTC stool softeners. Why not ask yours if you can take something like Dulcolax? (Miralax is great if bona fide constipation does not respond, but it can affect liver function, so I wouldn't make the leap directly to it, personally.)
