Ab workout post op

Hi Everyone,

Quick question, have any of you done any ab work (crunches, etc.) since surgery? I understand my port will be sewn into the side of my abdomen so my worry is that I will have limited mobility etc.

Please advise.

Thanks!

Ok, but do you feel your port when you're working out or doing ab work?

I was also told to wait 6 weeks. I waited 6 months to be safer. I do not feel my port when doing any ab workouts.

allowed to do abs after 6 weeks. Initially I would have a little port soreness but now almost 4 months out nothing. I ride dressage which is big use of abs

I got told to wait 6 weeks...But now I use the Wii fit Yoga and the Ab Lounger... Surgery was July 24th and too date I have lost 10 inches off of my waist...
