Incision from Surgery

Hello, I am in my 4th week after surgery and my incision where my port is located is still pretty uncomfortable. How long did everyone experience pain from the incisions?

I am not as far as you post op, but from what I have read, it takes some time for the port incision to not be tender. It is most commonly the last incision to stop hurting. If I am wrong, feel free to correct me!

The port incision is usually the last to stop hurting. I am about six and a half weeks out and I still have a little soreness in that one. The surgeon told me that is normal and that it would improve as time goes on. She is right, it has.

It's normal.

Thanks for your input. So many stages to this process. Its nice to talk to people going through the same things. Thanks to both of you, I appreciate all the info I can get.

:rolleyes2:

I don't think it's my incision, itself, which is tender, but just the area above and around it since the port is under there. When sleeping on my tummy at night, I have to shift things around so I don't put too much weight on my left side, where my port is.
