skin removal

To anyone who has had excess skin removed. How long did it take you to get to the point to where you knew it was time to have the extra skin removed?

I am 1 year and 4 months out and I have realized that I am going to have to have this extra skin removed. I have the hi bye arms, and the extra skin on my belly. I don't like it a bit and it is very embarrassing.

We recently had a re-contruction body surgeon come speak at our seminar. He said that when we go three months w/o a weight loss, it would be time for skin removal, tummy tucks, etc. Of course, that is after we have lost the expected weight....not just a plateau.

He also said that overall, most people have to have at least three surgeries. Tummy, Arms, and a Panni (which is a shortened name). It 's the area above the belly button. Tummy tuck is below.
