weight gain

I was banded on the 17th of Dec.I lost 16 pounds on the liquid diet. But now that I am able to eat soft foods I have gained a 1 1/2 in two days. I am getting nervous. I get hungry but I am sticking to the three meals a day one of them being my protien shake. Once I eat I am full which is a blessing. Any words of advice?

LOL Kim--if you look I have the EXACT same post a few pages back! I was banded on 12/16 and lost 19lbs and have gained about 1 1/2 myself! It is very frustrating! Hopefully after we both get our first fills we won't be worrying so much! So sorry no advice because I am looking for some myself!!

I haven't been banded yet, not until Jan 7, but a friend of mine has and she says that until your first fill, you may not feel much restriction, so you may start to gain. Your doctor will ask you about how much restriction you're feeling and will adjust the band accordingly. So hopefully, once you get your first fill, you won't be able to eat as much and you'll continue to lose.

Happened to me too. Came off liquids and gained backed 5 lbs. Then a week or 2 later, it was off again... Just your body adjusting.

Exercise is a key....

Good luck to you...
