I cheated !

I am one week in and I couldn't help it! I have been sick and I just caved in. I had 9 pretzels. I am really upset I guess its because of the stage one diet and I am just really hungry still. Is this going to wreck my band? Its been a week since I have been banded.! I am so weak!

Just a thought...you might want to advise your Dr so he/she can check for possible complications.

Don't beat yourself up too bad. We all have our weaknesses! I am surprised that we were able to get 9 pretzels down after 1 week, I was still swollen and it was like being filled. Just take a deep breath and get back on track. Good luck!

your not weak, its very hard i also cheated after one week post op, however I dont think pretzels were your best option. I couldnt drink any more protein shakes and the smell was makin me want to puke so Ive been having a scrambled egg once a day and it really helps, Im just really careful to smoosh it up good and chew alot. But like gonefishin said you might want to tell your dr.

Sunny, you are fine, and your band is fine. 9 pretzels arent going to hurt anything. Throughout your entire journey there are going to be times when you slip up, or revert to old habits. The only reason that it is "bad" at this point is bc you are still healing and just want to be careful. Docs usually put people on liquids and mushies, etc so you can get used to your band and don't get anything stuck...which would lead to pbing or throwing up.

But really, slap yourself on the wrist and realize that we are all weak! We need help and we have chose the band bc we recognize that! It's okay.

Now, don't do it again :smile2:
