I made up my mind!

I am going for it...Yeah. I have gotten so heavy that I have a hard time walking the mall, much less any walking in my neighborhood or hiking, which I love. Its gotten so bad that I don't want to see anyone or do anything except stay home in my sloppy, baggy clothes. I am secretly happy that we are staying home alone for the holidays. Just me and the hubby and the two dogs. All I have left to do towards getting the paperwork in order for the insurance is to have my EGD, which has not been scheduled yet. That and make copies of my medical records from my previous Dr in a different state. I think the insurance will not be too much of a problem. My husbands employeer is very large and they have top benefits, so I am very lucky. I had no idea that they even covered bariatic surgery until I read his actual full insurance policy at renewal time. So....here goes....SunnyinAZ:thumbup:

I think it is going to be Dr Sarah Lee at NorthWest Hospital Oro Valley. Now I don't have my surgery date yet, but I am trying to be optomistic that it will happen and soon. It is just one of those things that you feel you won't believe until it actually happens. So, what about you? How is it going? So if you are 8 or 9 months out, how do you feel about the whole process now? Oh and I live in Tucson.

it's going really well for me. my surgery was april 22nd and i have lost about 80 pounds - about 110 from my highest. i could have lost more but i had major oral implant surgery which impacted my ability to chew and digest properly so i haven't had a fill in 3 months and i need one but other than that i've been great. you will never regret this decision. it's been a godsend for me. keep us informed of how things are progressing! happy holidays!
