  2. thank u for the great information. I am 7 1/2 weeks post suegery and recd 1st fill of 3.5cc at 6 wk appt. I have lost almost 30 lbs so far. I have been measuring foods and making sure I get the 3 - 4 oz protein at each meal. I try to walk at least 30 min each day. This journey is not easy. I have to remember that the band is a tool but that ultimately it is my own mindset that has to change in order for this to work.
  3. I am 6 1/2 wks post op. I have been eating most regular foods since 5 weeks post op. I have not had any bread, pasta or lettuce salads yet. I have had one fill at my 6 wk appt. I will send an email to my doctor's office. I don't think about it until we r out abd my hubby has a salad.
  4. thank you for your quick reply. I will go get my liquid egg whites and fix them. Hate feeling yucky.:sneaky:
  5. I hae a headache and upset tummy. What should I eat or take? Are thin wheat crakers ok if I chew them up good?
  6. I think you should be more general and include info for wls people. sounds good. I would love to see it when u r finished.
  7. The Dr's office just said I need to eat my protein, which is 1/2 of my meal and then fruit and/or veggie is 1/4 and "desert" is last to eat and I should be full by the time I get to the desert and only want a bite or two. They didn't give me a specific number to strive for to get the protein. I do have the EAS chocolate and the vanilla flavored protein. They are both really good.
  8. Hi, I am a newbie to this thread. Just banded on Oct 6th and looking forward to everyone's support and ideas.
  9. I am praying that you find some answers and pain relief soon. Keep us posted on how you are doing.
  10. What does it mean when the band slips? Where does it go when it slips? Are there some videos that we can watch that explains that.
  11. I am new to this. I was banded on Oct 6th. Doing good. Looking forward to lots of support and ideas. I have a question. How much protein should I get per day?
  12. where do you get a body bug?
  13. I was banded on October 6th. Felt pretty good after and then tired a lot. Had my first post op visit on Friday. I have lot 14 lbs so far. 10 lbs on the pre op diet and then another 4lbs on the post op full liquids diet. I am now on the pureed foods. Doing good. Looking for ideas for things to puree and make them taste good. So how are the rest of you Outrageos Octobers doing?
  14. I really like mashed cauliflower. I used to eat a lot of it when I was doing the South Beach Diet. I need to make some again and add the sour cream. That would be yummy. Also, I love to "season" my food now with the HyVee No Salt spice. It's is really yummy.
  15. sounds great! I have been looking for samples of pureed diets. The Dr's office told me today that I could start pureed diet and that by the time I go in for my 6 week post op appt I should be eating regular foods for a couple of weeks before. Then they would determine if I need a fill or not. What were your favorite things to fix? How did you manage at work? My email address is bsktdebi@sbcglobal.net
