Things have really changed over the last 4 months (since I had surgery on November 20th) and wanted to share my continued progress with those that might be interested. I know that I still have work to do, but seeing the weekly progress really helps keep me motivated. Also, a BIG THANK YOU to all of you that have offered caring support and advice along the way as well as the BariatricPal weight loss and exercise challenges. I can't do it alone...so THANK YOU!!! 8. When you've had to tighten your FitBit around your wrist 4 times in the last 3 months.
  9. Any time I feel like I am veering off course, I go back to the basics. Protein, Protein, PROTEIN. I know it seems quite simplistic...and it is actually. So, when you are getting off course then spend a few days with your liquid Protein shakes...just like during the Pre-Op and initial Post-Op diets. That course of action has helped me, so maybe it can help you as well. And also get that exercise in!! I can't go a day without my walk to commune with nature. Good luck!
  10. Went out earlier today and found all kinds of blister aids to help our footsies out.
  11. I honestly can't answer your question because it is different for everyone. But I personally am thrilled I had the surgery. Best decision for my health and well-being I have ever made. Lost almost 90 pounds in 3.5 months and gone from walking only a few feet to miles and miles. Good luck with whatever choice you make.
  12. I have been walking a lot. On my lunch break at work and when I get home. Some of those were long hikes. Helps with nice weather. I am paying for it though. Here is a picture of my smallest toe. IMG_2646-001.JPG I know how bad that hurts. Hope it heals fast!!
  13. Also, had a few people ask how I get so many steps in a day/ week. And since we're sharing war wounds...This is how.....LOL.
  14. Yeah, we walk and hike A LOT on top of biking some when we have time. Blisters have been a problem for both of us even though we have been specially fitted for shoes and use moisture wicking socks (on top of blister band aids and mole skin).
  15. That is great news! We love cruising!!
  16. Got in 17 hours of exercise this week. Too much in all honesty.
  17. You have done an amazing job!!! I am so proud of you!!!
  18. I got in 10.5 hours of exercise this week and my feet show it. I have already started cutting back.
  19. Down to 282 this week. Thanks Sarah!!
  20. Hi Rebecca. Can you change my goal to 6 hours on the spreadsheet? Thanks so much.
