How long was your revision procedure?
My revision. Was done in one procedure on 8/31/17. My surgeon predicted 45 min for everything and I woke up in my room and family told me took 2. 5 hrs. Had so much scar from band collar and esophagus was torn. And I had a very experienced surgeon and he told surgeon who put in my band placed the collar too high on esophagus. Not to scare you but it really depends on what they find when they get inside. My doc didn't anticipate any complications because I was healthy and other than band being too tight, had no other complaints!

How do I know if I'm eating too much

How do I know if I'm eating too much
I'm 10 wks out from LB to sleeve and I wonder same thing. I feel Like I can eat too much. Not all the time but a couple of times I got hiccups and 2 other times I got a tummy ache. I do not count calories. I try and focus on my protein and fluid Intake. I am trying to do a ketogenic (Keto) diet, which I discussed with my nutritionist.

Band to Sleeve Revision Struggle with Insurance Approval
And you're right it is stupid. I have to sit 6 months gaining weight, getting depressed, knees and joints aching, blood pressure up etc then I finally qualified

Band to Sleeve Revision Struggle with Insurance Approval
I just got revised and unfortunately had to qualify all over again! Doc saw I was losing weight and said to stop and also no preop diet. Bmi had to get to 35, then of course knees hurt etc in order to justify them paying for it! I met a lady who said she had to fight for years to get them to cover her revision

Band to sleeve revision post op-feeling horrible
It does get better. Talk to your doc about nausea medicine. They sent me home with zofran prescription. He did not want me vomiting and heaving. Also I've heard that some people can tolerate drinking broth or crystal light versus plain water. You must get in at least 48-64 oz of fluid. I'm 10 wks post op and stopped zofran about 3 wks ago

Concerns with gaining
The other thing that I was told by surgeon if that revision patients lose way slower than a person who just got sleeve with no WLS prior

Depends in bmi. Doc told me no because my bmi was right on border

Week out and hunger pangs!
I think it's head hunger. The growling I believe is just digestive track functioning. I'm a band to sleeve revision on 8/31. I want so bad to chug a bottle of cold water etc but that's a bad habit I had prior to surgery being a guzzler. I eat popsicles excessively to keep from from wanting to drink and large glass of anything I also started sucking on sugar free jolly ranchers

Long Term Results?
I'm in fence about it. Just got converted to sleeve and there was so much scar tissue from the band..... surgeon says they are now finding that long term bands are no good. Don't get me wrong I know people who Have been successful. I had mine 7 hrs and just for converted
