  4. I have to agree. This doesn't sound like green zone to me. It may be where you want your band to be but it sounds too tight. I would have some Fluid removed and leave it out too.
  5. That's not slow for weight loss! That's perfect. You should lose 1-2 pounds a week. I haven't had a fill and don't need one. I am exercising like a fiend and have a hard time getting in more than 800 calories a day. I think my surgeon was an absolute superstar when it came to placing my band. I got lucky.
  6. Get back on track immediately! You can do this. Cheating is a slippery slope in my opinion. Please don't set yourself up for failure. Do it for Tucker, Tuckersmommy!!!!
  7. How about vodka and cranberry? White wine? I don't think alcohol is conducive to weight loss but this sounds like a special occasion so in moderation should be just fine. Have a great time!
  8. Dont start earlier than your surgeon tells you - it will be hard enough. Don't make it harder on yourself.
  9. So pleased you are cancer free. You are a fighter, survivor and strong woman! Best wishes always.
  10. I completely agree. You should not advance your diet without authorization from your doctor. It's time to make the best choices for yourself.
  11. I was eating 1/4 cup three times a day when I was on mushies. My surgeons orders were from liquids to mushies on day 7.
  12. Way leas than I expected. I used liquid Lortab (prescribed) for the day after surgery. I took liquid Tylenol on day two and didn't need anything after that. I didn't need Gas X. I walked a lot and was up and down out of bed and off the sofa frequently. I didn't let anyone wait on me. I think what helped me the most was staying positive and knowing what to expect. I'm a baby about pain too - I put bandaids on papercuts!
  13. Maybe call your optometrist and see what he/she says. Seems unusual. I don't feel great about your surgeon not checking this out for you.
  14. Tomato juice is high in Protein? I've never heard that. I would just stick to your Protein shakes since they seem to go down ok. Do your best to keep fluids going. I'm on my phone so I can't see if you have a ticker that says when you were banded but if it is recently, I wonder if you might have some fill in your band from surgery. If so, you might have a hard time getting Jello down and just need to stick to thin liquids. You can also thin your Protein shake out a bit if it is too thick.
  15. I haven't needed a fill but I think I'm not the norm. Most people experience no restriction between the swelling going down and the first fill. It's known as Bandsters Hell. Stick to your surgeons meal plan and get a fill scheduled if you need one. Some won't do a fill for 6-8 weeks after surgery. Others do it sooner.
  16. Just do your best. It will get better every day. No need to stress. I was nowhere near 52 ounces at three days and I survived just fine. You're doing great!
  17. I eat clean, organic and vegetarian (and occasionally eat fish but am working on eliminating that and going vegan).. I can't believe your nutritionist won't help you without artificial sweeteners and additives! That's ridiculous! I would look for another nutritionist who can work within your parameters. Once you are on solid food it will be much easier to get your Protein in with Beans, lentils, tofu, quinoa, etc.
  18. Fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good for you!
  19. I had a med to take that my pharmacist said I could crush so I used to crush mine, sprinkle it on the end of a sugar free Popsicle and then bite the end off of and chew it to liquid before swallowing. The intense flavor of the Popsicle helped with the bitterness of the meds.
  20. Niterun, Can I make a suggestion? In the drink mix section of your grocery store, they sell a little squirty liquid called Mio. They have a sweet tea flavor with zero calories. Because you can control how much you put in, you can make it as weak or as strong as you like. Best wishes!
  21. I started at 256 and have lost 80 pounds in seven months. Totally possible!
  22. Yayyyyyyy! Good for you!!!
  23. I was terrified to do ab exercises but now I'm doing them I can't remember being scared! My trainer has me doing a million different things Like Acadia and Jachut have suggested. You'll get a good ab workout with plank for sure!
