  1. Hey guys, I'm still toughing it out! I'm getting by I guess, can't wait till this week is over.
  2. Wow, you guys sound like you're doing great! I hope I will sail through this too.
  3. In the mean time Tres, mine is for rent, she's driving me crazy today! (She's almost 3). You can practice.
  4. Yoda thats hilarious! I bet she felt dumb after that one!!
  5. No, not after the downtime just because we are so backed up when we're done. But manual entries always get double read before they are released on a regular basis. This was supposed to only last 10 hrs but it didn't work out that way. Boy were we tired when we were done!:faint:
  6. Yes, it certainly makes it easier to think I am not alone. Thanks DameJ.
  7. I suppose if I die from anything it's going to be from starvation from this bloody pre-op diet. Can anyone tell I am still miserable??
  8. Very difficult, thankfully nowadays alot of shoes can pass for unisex so I just get mens shoes. For fanicier stuff I go to a special store, extremely expensive. I also shop online. But it really is a pain to find shoes. I agree, next year this time it wil be clothes, clothes, clothes!
  9. Thanks you guys, I really needed to hear that. I will stay focused from here on in. 10 more days!
  10. Wow Lila, you're doing great. How long are you in Mexico for anyways?? Hows the weather?
  11. SO proud of you!
  12. I love, love ,love Roots bags! I too have a big collection of bags. I love shoes too but I have trouble finding my size for my gigantic feet (size 13). I know, they're like skis's really. Good thing or Id have closets full.
  13. Ha Ha, you do that Wheezy. I can empathize with you. I just got home from work after a 24h computer downtime. What a mess! It was fixing all the paperwork after the computers came back up that was the problem. I've been manually entering lab results all day and my eyes are buggy.
  14. You go girl! Rod Stewart in all his bright, colorful suits, I love it! Good luck Astroetoes!
  15. Okay, is anyone really doing this without cheating AT ALL, hats off to you if you are, I gave in and ate a weiner, and a piece of pizza (okay 3 pieces). I'm soooo freakin' miserable.
  16. Mookie, you are hilarious, have fun skiing and call me next week sometime, we'll go for coffee. Still not sure if I can drink coffee pre op, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
  17. Hey, am I allowed to drink coffee or tea?? (with just a splash of milk?). This really sucks, its only day 3 for me, thank God I am busy unpacking so I am mostly pre-occupied.
  18. Sorry I've disappeared for a bit, trying to settle into our new house, wow, it's alot of work moving. So I went back to the doc first thing that next morning to get my bp re-measured, and guess what, it was fine. But the asshole that he is is still making me go to a specialist before he signs the forms!!! God I wish I had another doc. I will definately start looking for a new one once this settles down. But those of you from Alberta know what looking for a decent doc is like. Anyhoo, the disgustin opti-fast has started and because I don't have my fridge here yet I haven't been able to blend with ice and it is absolutely disgusting!
  19. Thanks guys, Mookie, your Doc happens to be my aunt so I don't want to go to her hee hee. She's a wonderful doctor though but I'm not telling my extended family about mu surgery. Your right that he's on a power trip, big time. BTW, did any of you have to pay for this to be done? He's charging me for it, I don't know how much yet. I think I need to find a new doc ASAP.
  20. The thing is it's not even that high, 140/90. Thats considered borderline high, not even high! I'm going to call Dr.Cobourn tomorrow and see what he says. I really am healthy other than that.
  21. So I went to my doctor today to get him to do my 2 week prior check up and sign my form, all of a sudden my blood pressure is high. I have never had high blood pressure. I was just checked 4 months ago. It's 140/90. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I'm moving houses, and working full time and nervous about this surgery?? So he refuses to sign my form for me and is referring me to a specialist. Apparently he thinks I am not fit for surgery. Okay, somebody please make me feel better.:faint:
  22. I was wondering the same thing..........I remember going to a Billy Idol concert about 15 years ago and it has still been the best concert I've ever been to so far.
  23. You guys are doing awesome, I start my pre op diet on the 31st. I will definately join the south beach wagon when I can eat solids. The food sounds yummy and satisfying too!
