Starbucks...
I knew they had Protein Powder, I just didn't know it could be added to a hot drink. I usually get it in a mocha light frappucino, so that it gets blended. It doesn't clump in the latte? Susan

Starbucks...
A tall, non fat decaf latte has 10 grams of protein and only 100 calories. As long as you add sugar free syrup, you get no extra calories. I usually just get Splenda in mine, but every once in a while, I'll add sugar free mocha. I have one daily. If I'm needing extra calories, I get the grande. 130 calories and 13 grams of protein. Anyone have Tricare?
I have Tricare Prime, however I used a MTF for my surgery so I am not sure what the requirements are for Tricare to authorize a civilian surgeon. However, you can go on the Tricare website and it should detail their requirements there. Best of luck to you. Susan

Can I take Zzz Quil?
Advil pm is different. Advil is a NSAID. I'm not sure what is in it to make you sleepy, but the NSAID can't be taken after surgery. Zzz quil does not have any NSAIDs in it. It's just a antihistamine. Susan

Gastric Sleeve Experts... Please Chime In!
Are you sure it's ibuprofen. That's a nsaid and is a no no with the sleeve. As to the pain. Everybody is different. I needed no pain medication after I left the hospital. It might be gas. Try a heating pad or gas x. If pain is that severe, your friend might need to go to emergency room. As to fluid intake, just keep sipping. It's hard for a lot of us. I didn't get good with it for almost 6 weeks. Susan

pre op diet
I had no pre op liquid diet, nor any other restrictions unless you count the normal don't eat after X hour the night before and nothing (no liquids) after midnight. I read other's post about the struggle, and I always Am thankful I didn't have it. Maybe it's a starting BMI thing. Mine was under 40. Susan

How do I get all this tape off my body?
I think I was confusing it with my tummy tuck. That had tape for two weeks. But I was given these packaged swabs in both instances to remove the tape residue. Same surgeon did both my sleeve and my tummy tuck. At check up, when he saw the residue he gave me the packets. I think it actually said adhesive remover on it. Call your surgeons office and ask Sorry I can't be more specific. Susan

How do I get all this tape off my body?
My dr gave me some sort of gauze pretreated with some oily stuff. I think it was at my two week follow up, when it was time for the tapes to come off. They were in packets like the alcohol swabs. He also gave me alcohol swabs to use. Susan.

I sAy this after two days of eating my daughter's Halloween candy( and subsequent 2 pound weight gain this morning) I have put on my walking shoes, ignoring the candy and starting over You've got this Susan

Tall girl rant!
I get my jeans there. My favorite shopping tip about Old Navy is to check their clearance area. I can usually find online returns in that section for 50% off. If a customer purchases from the tall section online and returns it to the store, Rather than ship it back to the online warehouse, they mark it 50% off and place it in the clearance section. That's how I discovered I could wear a size 6. Last time I went, that was the only tall size on the rack, and I figured, "what the heck". I tried it in and they FIT! Susan

Tall girl rant!
I was so excited to be able to fit into a size 6 pant, I figured shopping would be so much easier. The kicker is that I'm 6 feet tall and I could not find a single store that stocks dress pants in long lengths. I reckon I'll still be shopping online Any recommendations as to a good place to find pants with at least a 34 inch inseam? Susan
