  1. I forgot about Halloween! My friend is a size 14 and has to wear an x-large in them because they are made small. So, Halloween 2012 I went as Abby Lee Miller from Dance Moms, people loved it!
  2. You might not want to get below a Bmi of 40, you need to check with your surgeon to see what weight they submit for insurance approval.
  3. I'm home"..I did sleep the required time or longer and the tech didn't see any apnea episodes, the Dr. has to look over everything, but it's looking like I'm fine here, thank God!!!
  4. I am so glad I didn't have a 1000 questions!
  5. I'm up early so I can sleep tonight for my sleep study...you have to sleep for that lol. This "may" be my last test before surgery. I'm getting things checked off the list pretty quickly! I plan on updating tomorrow on whether I could sleep in front of a stranger!
  6. Psych evaluation was pretty basic...I talked to the psychologist for an hour...we talked about what I knew about the surgery, did I understand I could die, loose skin, support system, drug or alcohol use and diet and exercise. After I had a about a thirty minute questionnaire!
  7. There is a blood test that can be done to give you a good idea if you have one...I think if the Dr. says you are fine, you probably are...hotness, swelling, and redness are common signs of a blood clot. God Bless!!!
  8. It sounds like you have a stricture but it's not getting better with the dilation. I would get a second opinion. Sorry, and I hope you get well soon! God Bless!!!
  9. Weird you say that...I'm lying in this hotel room wondering if I can really go through with it...the surgery! Am I just wasting my time? The world will still go on with me being overweight. Losing weight sounds wonderful and I am tired of being ashamed of the way I look and feel, but is it worth the counting, tracking, watching etc. and that's with everything going smoothly. Someone mentioned heart palpitations if you don't drink enough??? Seems like I will be more obsessed with food after surgery. I will let you know my progress!
  10. Me and my friend are both having our psychiatric evaluations in the morning...we are at a hotel because we live a couple of hours away and my appointment is at 7:45 a.m. I will let you know how it works!
  11. I'm a Dr Pepper lover too. I haven't had surgery yet or even scheduled, I think I will enjoy a little longer!
  12. Give Aetna a call or check online...I have BCBS of IL and they only do stomach if I have pictures and documentation from a physician showing rashes.
  13. There may be a different test they can perform...I'm sure they are aware of this being a problem or some people. God Bless!!!
  14. I'm so glad you are doing fine but try to take it as easy as possible. This early on stalls shouldn't be a problem, just don't weigh yourself for another week or two, the weight is going to come off! I can't wait to see a picture of you in just a few months!
  15. Welcome, just join right in our discussions and if you have a question, we will try to help!
  16. I have been busy finding out what my insurance requires, going to seminar, lab work, scheduling this and that and then all of a sudden I think, am I really going to go through with this? I want to lose weight, I need to lose weight, I will be happy...but what if I hate the after of not liking the not eating much part? So yeah, I go back and forth, but mostly forth.
  17. Fat people are discriminated sometimes because of their weight...some think overweight people are lazy! The prettier clothes are sizes 14 and under for women too!
  18. Oddly, when I started my thyroid medicine I thought I would drop at least 15 lbs. but no. I have talked to many people who still find it hard to lose even on medicine.
  19. Since you had the sleeve you should do wonderful. I'm hypothyroid also.
  20. Yes, I think I should go ahead and enjoy things while I can lol
  21. My chin hanging to my chest when I'm on my iPad...pulling my stomach up to wash under it...legs about to start a fire from rubbing together and my shorts getting stuck on the fat and the shorts riding up a leg or two...being ashamed of the way I look...not wanting even my husband to see or touch my stomach...did I notice my belly is big?
  22. How long ago did you have surgery? How much have you lost since the beginning? Maybe you are in a stall.
  23. Four months to nine months to go through the process is the normal...and yes, no smoking...I hear my surgeon gives a nicotine test and if you fail, no surgery
  24. I have two...What a Wonderful World-Louis Armstrong and Beautiful-Christina Aguilera
