  1. Julie, who are you seeing for fills in Calgary? Dr.Mitchell? Andrew
  2. I can sympathize with you. My wife has the exact same problem. Clothes shopping can be a real bummer. Andrew
  3. Hey Good to know there are a group of them here in Calgary. I am not banded yet, but will be on Feb.14. Andrew
  4. I had thought about taking a dose of liquid tylenol & then adding a crushed tylenol to it to increase the dose. I also just got back from the Wally Mart, & was looking at childern's meds. They have the Equate Jr. stregth aceteminaphin which was $3.78 for 100ml (160mg/5ml) and the Jr Eqaute Soft Melt tablets for $3.96 (160mg/tablet). When you consider that an adult dose of Extra Strength Tylenol (2 pills) is 1000mg that is 6.25 childrens doses, which will cost about $1.20. I think that I will get some of the soft melt tabs for the trip, that way I dont have to deal with liquids. Does anyone know if we are able to get the Tylenol GoTabs in Canada? Andrew
  5. I have a coedine allergy. Did anyone get anything besides liquid coedine. I am a suck, and I hate pain. Maybe some percocet? Andrew
  6. Okay, maybe I will rethink that plan. Looked good on paper. I am going nuts trying to get the best bang for my buck in the Tylenol dept. Andrew
  7. My last supper is Tuesday night. Seeing as I am deathly alergic to Shrinp & Lobster, I think I will stay away from that. I am going to this little italian place to have thier chicken tortilinni in creamy cranberry sauce. I swear the thing must be made with a pound of butter. Andrew
  8. I think this may be the route that I take. Seems easier than drinking half a bottle of childrens Tylenol. Andrew
  9. Thanks, I did not see it in the pro-op package, so I will not eat it. Besides, green jello sucks. Andrew
  10. That sounds like a good idea. I am not too worried about the pre-op diet, in fact I have been looking forward to it (I must be some sort of sadist). I have been hitting the farewell tour pretty hard, and feel like crap for all the garbage I have been eating. BRING IT ON!!! Andrew
  11. LOL, that is always what I have thought. What movie is this? BRAINS...mmmmBRAINS :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :girl_hug: Now after that zombie time out, get better Mandi. Andrew
  12. I'm more worried about my blender making too much noise at work. :nervous I dont drink coffee, but I have a serious Diet Pepesi additction I am going to have to break this week. Cleo: I am one of the luck ones that has to do Optifast 3 weeks pre-op. I am starting this wednesday. Andrew
  13. Astrotoes, Are you a Dr. Coburn patient? If so, I was reading the pre-op package last night again, and it did mention coffee as something you could have. Just not cream or sugar. Splenda if you must. I have to start Optifast on Wednesday, and I know there are a buch of hear that start this week or next. There will be plenty of us going through it in the near future. Andrew
  14. Anyone pateints of Dr. Coburn have SF Jello during pre-op? Would be nice to help mix things up. Andrew
  15. I remember seeing a post somewhere that one could use the liquid Tylenol for colds. I checked them all at the drug store, and there was one that was Tylenol and DM only. http://www.tylenol.com/product_detail.jhtml?id=tylenol/cold/prod_sdt.inc∏=subpsdt#Top It has 500mg of tylenol per tbs (15ml) about the same as childrens Tylenol which has 160mg per tsp which works out to 480mg per Tbs. The catch is that Tylenol cold is way cheaper than the childrens Tylenol. I am not sure if the added DM will create problems after surgery. Has anyone heard of this? Andrew
  16. I lived in Lethbridge for 8 years, and my wifes family lives there. I am pretty sure that this is false. I have never seen or heard of a pumpkin patch near there. The weather is not really great to grow pumpkins as Lethbridge is practically a desert. I know there are no pumpkin Patches in Calgary as it is too cold & close to the mountains Being from Calgary, I am pretty sure that they would arraign him at the courthouse in Lethbridge. Sorry to ruin the joke. A
  17. I am pretty sure that they are limited in Edmonton too as far as the number of procedures that they do. This is my best guess due to the significant wait times, and the fact that prevention is not high on the list of AHC priorities. Andrew
  18. I didnt take into account the 10cc band. Hope all goes well for you. Andrew
  19. 5cc seems like alot. Is it possible that it is .5cc? Andrew
  20. That is good to know. I am pretty sure that this would fall under federal law. Andrew
  21. I know that you can expense it under medical expense, but does anyone know if it is a straight reduction in income, or is it a percentage, like charitable donations. Maybe I will have to email my accountant. Andrew
  22. I'm being banded in the 14th. I have to do 3 weeks of Optifast, whch I suspect is due to my BMI being 47.5. We will have to share Optifast recipes. I am also interested to hear how your surgery goes as it will be fresh in your memory. Andrew
  23. I totally know what you mean. I have been on the farewell tour since about Christmas. Everyday for lunch I'm thinking "where wont I be able to go again" I am lining up new homes for my "Buy 12 donairs, get one free" card as I dont think I will finish it in time. It is really weird, but Jan. 24, when I start Optifast by body is going to go into a state of shock. I gotta get it out of my system. People I work with are making New Years resolutions to eat better, meanwhile I have been a human garbage can lately. Andrew
  24. Fat guy in a liitle coat is the story of my life, whether it be a scout uniform, band uniform, basketball uniform. I guess that is why I liked football so much, except for the tight white pants. Anyway, hope you and your sexy toes are alright. Andrew
  25. Out of curiosity, has anyone taken thier reciept from a fill and submitted to their Blue Cross plan? I have a health spending account as part of my benefits that covers things like chiropractors and even massage. Just wondering if I could recover this medical expense that way? As for the flouro, that sounds like the best way to get one's fills done as it would be nice to have the peice of mind that there is no erosion etc. Andrew
