  2. That's normal. liquids go right through the sleeve. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  3. I'm 7 days post and no longer bloated, but I took Gas X religiously. Everyday, maximum amount. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  4. At what stage is nicotine tested? I am a smoker and plan to quit like yesterday. I know how bad it is and the problems it can cause with surgery so I am working on quitting now. I will meet with my surgeon next month for the first time and probably won't have the sleeve until Dec or Jan. When is it tested? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I was tested at the very end, at the pre-op blood, urine work and chest x-ray stage. For me, the pre-op appointment had to be within 3 weeks of the surgery date.
  5. Sounds like a tough situation to be in... To not be hungry and yet have to force yourself to eat. I'm 6 days post op and also a lap band to sleeve conversion. I kept most of my lap band weight off before they unfilled my band to prep me for the sleeve. I don't have 165 lbs to lose like I did before the band, and wondered if I'd be in the same predicament some day. Perhaps load up on sliders, which are high calorie foods before your protein? For those who need to lose weight, I know if you eat your protein first, you get full fast, so the opposite may help you gain weight.
  6. I just got off the phone with my nurse who asked my surgeon how much my stomach will hold after the sleeve, and she responded with 6-8 ounces (so MTV = 177ml to 236 ml for my sleeve). Hope this helps.
  7. I had my band to sleeve revision done on the 2nd. First thing I asked when I woke up was if it was successful since it was being done in one operation vs two. When I heard "yes", I was ecstatic. I'm happy and excited for you! I'm like on post day 7, I believe and well, it's been wonderful vs my first week with the band. That is awesome!! How's your recovery going?First day was a little rough, but after I got home that evening, it was smooth sailing. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App That's good. I hope my recovery is just as good.I hope so too. I believe it will be . Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

  10. I think the maximum tolerated volume (MTV) depends on the size of the bougie used during surgery. I believe my NUT said my sleeve will have a 150 ml MTV, don't remember though... Wrote it down somewhere. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  11. Thank you all again for your responses! Only one that kind of bothers me (well, they all itch booo lol) is one that is at the center top cause it sits right under my bra band. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  12. 6 days post op of the outpatient band to sleeve revision. In at 7 am, walking by 11 am and out by 4 pm. Dr.Holden and team definitely knows what they are doing. ^^ Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  13. I am 6 days post a revision surgery (band to sleeve). Although it's normal to feel nervous, knowing that it doesn't really help get over that feeling. What helped me is, where it is new to you and me, these doctors have done zillions of sleeve surgeries. It's routine. It's mundane. It's ordinary. You'll be just fine. The post op isn't too bad either. Only hard day was the first for me. I was in at 7 am, out by 4 pm. in the same day. Excited for you! Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  14. I bet! Wow, that's great you had the option to pay more to be able to have only one through the belly button.
  15. I wish I could've had it done at 18... Perhaps, it would've saved me years of self hatred. Good luck and keep us posted. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  16. Congrats . I had my revision to sleeve on 9/2 as well. It was done outpatient, surgery early in the morning, released at 4 pm. First day was miserable for me though, slept through day 2, & day 3 has been great. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  17. Now I'm wondering why I got 7 incisions... Thanks for your input . I'll call my doc tomorrow. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  18. Yes I always have nausea and told the doctor this before my surgery (which was Sept. 2, 2016) so she gave me a prescription for Ondansetron ODT 4mg and it works wonders! Perhaps you can get them to give you that prescription.
  19. Today was my 3rd day and I had one that hurt so bad too. I believe the nurse told me it was the site they pulled the large stomach through and put a mesh there. Feel better soon. Day 3 feels almost normal to me. Day 1 was not so good, neither was day 2.
  20. Thank you. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
  21. Thank you That's what I thought too... And what I had experienced for my lap band. I thought perhaps it's cause its a revision they needed three more incisions. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

  23. Finally got my band to sleeve revision done. It was yesterday. First 3 hours was bad. Incision pain, general nausea, gas pains. After that I could walk and the pain subsided. Although nauseous, I tolerated Water well, and I never slimed (like I did with my lap band) and haven't thrown up yet. The first two walks, I got dizzy. That went away today. My surgery was done at 7 am, and I was released the same day at 4 pm. I was first in. I'm not hungry at all. Today, on my 2nd day I was able finished 32 oz with 1 scoop Bariclear, going to make a new one to try to get 64 oz but don't think I'll be able to get that down by the end of the day. So I see I have 7 incisions. I had like 4 for my lapband. How many did they put in you? Thanks!
  24. 19th day here on a 4 Protein shakes a day (with almond, skim or soy milk) or 5 shakes with Water, 1 c no sodium broth. I'm allowed sugar-free jello but I don't eat any sucralose so I have to pass on that one. The best advice that I was given is to space out your protein shakes, and whether you want them or not at the given time, drink them. Make sure you drink the full daily number of shakes. If not, you'll find yourself hungry and fall into temptation. Also, of course, drink lots of water. I found it helped to add different types of extracts to my shakes. For example, I got Frontier banana extract and a 1/4 tsp of that in my vanilla Protein shake made a world of difference in flavor. I also got caramel, almond and vanilla extract. Lots of types out there. Good luck, you'll do fine!
  25. On day 18 here of a 3 week liquid diet. My program is 4 shakes made with skim milk, almond or soy milk or 5 shakes made with Water plus a cup of unsalted broth a day, plus the typical free drinks. The goal amounts were as follows: Protein 60 to 80g, carb 50 to 80, calories 800 to 1000. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
