  2. Thanks for posting back! It is nice to get some positive reinforcement!
  3. I know what you mean. I worry about eating anything questionable in from of my family for fear of judgment.
  4. My surgeon OK'd them. You have to chew them up into bits like anything else. You take 2 very small gummy vitamins as a dose (to equal a chewable tablet or a swallowable pill), together they are smaller than one piece of gummy candy.
  5. Hi! I'm in the northwest suburbs. Anyone else in this area?
  6. You aren't alone. What you are saying doesn't seem too out of the norm. You are hungry until you get a fill. I've only had one and I still get a little hungry. I think my initial loss was the same as you. It's not like with bypass, we don't lose as fast. You are doing OK. Be sure to go to your support groups and ask questions at your fill.
  7. I want to be 100 lbs down at one year, preferably a goal. Goal is 140, 100 lbs down would be 162 (from pre-op diet). I'm down 30, so I have 92 to goal, and 70 to get to 162. We are going to Disney World for the first time ever in December, I'd like to be at 200 then. So, that would be 32 lbs over the next 14 weeks. Which would then be 2.3 lbs a week, which is in the range of do-ability. I will get smaller!!
  8. Thanks for posting your progress! I'm feeling sort of like a loser, as in I'm doing something wrong. I'm down 14 lbs in the last 2 months. I guess I am expecting a little faster. Down 30 lbs since my pre-op diet began. I guess I'm doing OK. I just am having a bad day. Feeling stressed and down on myself. I came here to get some inspiration. Your post made me remember it is possible! Thanks again!
  9. The Bariatic Advantage shakes can be made with WATER. If you are having trouble with the milk, try it with water or 1/2 water. I found them rather thick if made with milk, so I made them a few times with water. In the blender, it was better using water, with the hand shaker, milk was ok.
