I am a new mom, our baby is 4 months old. I started looking into lap band last year when the doctor thought that we might be having trouble conceiving due to my weight. Then I was only about 55-60 pounds over weight. I am 5'8 and was about 210, now I am still 5'8 but 253. I have been approved for the second time to have the procedure done. I am going to go with the lap band. I am so nervous but I know this is the right tool that will help me reach my goals. I want to teach our daughter the proper response to food. I never really ate a lot of fast food or take out until I meet my husband and moved to Chicago. Then with the pregnancy it was difficult to get active. While I still walked and went to the gym, yes people made all sorts of comments while being so preg. but I got on that bike anyways! I know what needs to be done and I am doing it. I hope that my lesson can help my family grow.
