OH MY GOSH!! I AM SO SORRY YOU ALL ARE GOING THRU THIS I HATE TO THROW UP!! I AM NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO BEING SICK. I DONT KNOW IF I WILL BE ABLE TO HANDLE ALL THE PAIN AND SICKNESS, MAYBE I SHOULDNT GET THE SURGERY MAYBE THE PLICATION WOULD BE BETTER I DONT KNOW GEEZE WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I know how you feel, I am getting my surgery on in Nov and I have had my co-workers and my oldest son that is not wanting me to get this done and saying I lost weight befor and I can do it again. They dont realize that I am older and I have a thyroid problem and I can loose the weight but I just gain it back. And with me going to mexico, they say, arent you scared? what if something happens, what are you going to do?? and I hear if I were you I wouldnt do it, and your crazy, all kinds of stuff to make me change my mind. Of course I am scared, but I feel in my hart that I need this and I think I have made a good choice in the Dr thats going to do it. Thanks for listening to me vent. When are you getting your surgery? Hi everyone, All I can think about is the surgery, I am getting surgery on Nov 23rd I have already got my plane tickets and I have put my $500.00 down and I am getting the sleeve, I still am thinking I should get the plication I dont know I have worried my self sick, I just cant figure out what surgery would be best for me and then I am so scared to get the surgery, I have got only a month 1/2 and I have to break some big habits like smoking, and pepsi, they are going to be the biggest most hardest things to break. Also I have now started thinking what have I done?? I cant beleive I am actually going to Mexico for MAJOR SURGERY!! I am so worried that my stomach is killing me and I dont know why there is a line under my writing eather. I hope I am making a good decision I have 5 kids that I love and they need there mom. Im just scared and worried

Hi I was wondering how long are we suposed to do the pre op diet and is there just a liquid diet also befor surgery? I was just told of the liver shrinking diet and it is like the atkins diet and then I have been reading about a liquid diet before surgery does any one know if that is true then how long am I suposed to be on liquid only? If you have a perscription for pain meds you should be able to take them with you. I know I am bringing mine. Lisa

Hi Mellifrits, I was curious on how you are doing and how much weight have you lost so far, also how much food do you think you can eat in one sitting? ya, I know what you mean about trying to keep weight off, I think we all do,lol:biggrin0: Yes I am getting excited, I am scheduled for the sleeve but I am still thinking about the plication surgery, the plication is what I was planning on getting from the beginning and then I have been reading on here about the surgery and now I am leaning twords the sleeve, I have 100 lbs to loose and I just think it might be better to get the sleeve with that much weight to loose.
