  1. i had my surgery 4 weeks ago and i guess i am having that same pain. mine is below my port, all of sudden i will feel something, not sure what type of pain it is. it is good to see that it will go away eventually. i don't want to be a baby and keep calling my dr's office, so i am trying to hold off until i go for my fill on 11/9. also the tiredness and no energy you feel, it took me 3 weeks to get over that feeling. i am just starting to feel normal again.
  2. i had my surgery 4 weeks ago. I lost the first 2 weeks after surgery and now have been at a standstill. I am hating the scale. I am following my food intake very well. I am using a lot of will power to stop eating. From these blogs i see that we will start losing more when we get our adjustments. Mine is not until Nov. 9th.
  3. had my surgery on 9/22/10. these 4 weeks have gone by so fast. the first 3 were horrible, so much gas pains and constipation. Finally, this week i feel my old self again. I still have gas pains but not as bad. I am trying to chew slowly. My adjustment is on Nov. 9th, hope that goes well.
  4. my dr's office has a nutrionist have a support group meeting once a month. i went a couple of times before i had my surgery and just went again last night. the problem is it is 45 min. from where i live and after my commute from work and then to go there it is a very long night. i just called the hospital in the same town as where i live in and they have one once a week and it is open to the public. plus they have meetings on saturdays, so that is where i will be going now. i enjoy them very much.
  5. i am 4 weeks post op also and have not lost any weight. i have gained a couple of pounds. i think it is because we just got off of the liquid diet and we are now eating. our body is adjusting to the band. From what i have read on this site that once we get adjusted we will start to lose weight. i will be adjusted on nov. 9th. i had my surgery 9/22. hopefully if we follow our nutrionists rules about eating we will start to lose weight. good luck.

thanks. i did call the dr's office. he made me go to the emergency room and take x-rays, barium swallow and other tests. everything came out fine. port is in place, it must just be gas.
  7. i had surgery on 9/22 and still feel very weak. it is getting better day by day. i also think i am not eating enough.

i went back to work today. very tiring, even though i sit at a desk all day. the commute is a killer. hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. i was not hungry until the end of the day. i had a balance bar and i ate that on the bus until i got home. i rested a few minutes and fixed my dinner and lunch for tomorrow.
  10. well i guess i am different. i have been 3 weeks and feel i could use another week. i am very tired and low energy. i travel to work on public transportation to a different state. i am on a 3 week liquid diet. my doctors office never told me that the allowed time off is 2 weeks. i told them i can take a month off and the pa never said anything to me. i am willing to go back to work if i could eat a few days before returning.
  11. it took me 7 days before i had a bowel movment. someone told me take mineral oilor colace because you dont want to become constipated. then i didn't go for another 3 days. i finally went this a.m. but this afternoon had a diaraheea? spurt. but we have to remember nothing is going in our stomachs but liquids.
  12. you look likw you lost more than 22lbs. you probably lost a lot of inches, which is excellent. good luck
  13. i had my surgery on 9/22. i was able to sleep on my side the same night. but not the whole night. i tossed and turned the whole night. it was painful. i finally noticed last night i can sleep on my right side. my left side where the port is i still can not sleep on that side.
  14. i take the flu shot every year. they give it to us free at my job. i may miss it because i am recuperating from the surgery.
  15. i had my surgery on 9/22, everyday gets better. Still on a liquid diet until 10/12 and i won't be adjusted for another 7 weeks. ugghh. i think i am hungry but i just drink water or something liquid. then gas builds up. what a life. but i think this will help me take the weight off.
  16. maybe that's what i am feeling hungry. my stomach growls constantly and i thought it was gas. and i don't get to eat for another 3 weeks. ugghhh
