Full later?
I had my first fill two days ago and I just moved back to reg food. I ate about 2/3's of a scrambled egg. I felt fine until about 30 min after, then I started feeling very full. It's been a little over two hours and I still feel miserable. I did take my time to eat. I really don't know what went wrong.

Lower Abdominal Pain
I felt the same thing about 1 1/2 weeks post op. When I called my surgeon's office they told me that the pain was normal (part of healing) Supposedly mine was tissue healing around my port or something like that. I was told to take some the pain meds given at the hospital and to rest. I did and felt better about a week later. My pain was in my lower left side of my abdomin. I still feel it sometimes when I walk but I can tolerate it.

Post-op: How long until you progressed to solid food?
My Post Op diet was different as well 2 days clears liquids 5 days full liquids 3 weeks pureed/mushy from there move to soft foods and eventually to regular food as tolerated. I'm on my last week of pureed/mushy and I can't wait to get to regular textured foods.

Labor Day Challenge
I'll set mine for 15lbs I think that's a reasonable goal right?
-
weight loss vs inches lost
I do both but I can't really see it yet. Everyone else on the other hand does and tell me what a difference the weight loss has made already and I've only lost 24lbs so far. They tell me I look younger...imagine that!

Day One Need Help

Did anyone else experience this?
The last thing I remember was the prep room getting heparin shot and talking to the docs and then trying to wake up in recovery.

I have important question about post op for me...had my surgery today!
My Doc put me on 2 days clear liquids followed by 5 days of full liquids and then 3 weeks of Mushies/pureed food and then soft to maintainence foods for week 4+. Every Doc is different so I would suggest you call the office to be sure what plan he wants you to follow.

Did you tell anyone you were having surgery?
I told quite a few people, I figured I could use all the support I could get. Boy was I wrong, the response was mixed. Some of the people I thought would be the most supportive turned to be the most negative and the least understanding. (Including my mom) She has since seen the bigger picture and has become one of the most supportive now. I think only you know the people in your life and whether you would want their support or not. Just keep in mind it could go either way so be prepared for their reaction whichever it is.

Did anyone cry the first week??
I had my surgery on 6/14 and I'm still crying.:scared2: I know it will pass, probably when the pain does. I have decided that it is probably just the fact that I have undergone a major life altering time in my life and I am still trying to wrap mind around just HOW BIG THIS IS!!!!

Trip to Lane Bryant
:thumbup:CONGRATULATIONS!!:scared2: I too cannot wait to be able to shop in a regular store. Although Lane Bryant and Avenue have clothes that fit my girth being that I am only 5'2 trying to find pants and jeans that fit has always been hard for me.

Post-Surgery Moodiness
I know how you feel, I am also about 5 days out and have been so irritable and grouchy to almost everyone. I think I just feel bad because I feel bad. I've been having a hard time with gas and swallowing and pain from the sutures. My saving grace has been one of my best friends, who is also going to have WLS, She has been a listening ear and a great encouragement whenever I feel like I'm gonna fall apart. She's there to talk me through. Also reading through posts on this site help a lot.

Is constipation a problem for anyone else?
I am 4 days post op and have not had a BM in almost two weeks. I thought it was normal because of the 2 week liquid diet before surgery but now I am just frustrated.

Surgery on Monday
I am on my last day of the Pre-op diet and will have surgery on Monday 6/14. I am a bundle of nerves. I'm excited about the 20 lbs I've lost on the horrible liquid protien diet but just can't get over going under the knife. Well keep me in your prayers PLEASE.
