  1. Thanks Ashley! I feel kind of lost at the moment! I am so ready to get this started.
  2. Thanks Ali! When I got home from work, my PCP had already emailed me back saying he had sent my referral over to the Richmond Bariatrics for review. So maybe I will hear from them soon.
  3. Hi everyone! I just came from the Weight Loss Surgery Overview class and immediately e-mailed my doctor to get my referral rolling. I asked him to send my referral to Richmond and hope I can get going soon. After I get the referral, do I call them, or does he contact them and they contact me? I am confused on how that works. I had the same problem with getting a C-Pap. I thought I was supposed to hear from the Dr, and he was waiting for me to call. So I never got one, even though I qualified. I just don't want to be left in the dark about this! Thanks for everyone's input and help on making my choice!
  4. Another place is Ebay. I have bought several new bras with the tag still. My last bunch, I got 6 bras for $24. The won't last forever, but that's the point, they are temporary.
  5. Yayy for you Tamra! I will keep my fingers crossed!
  6. Congrats on the loss! I am just starting out, I have my WLS overview class tomorrow.
  7. Good luck with your surgery Tuesday!
  8. Hey guys, thanks so much for your answers! I really appreciate it. I guess if there's not much difference in the programs, I would probably chose Richmond since it is half the distance of SSF. My sister in law was banded two months ago and recommended the closer facility as well. I apologize for not getting back and saying thank you sooner, I thought it would email me when there was a reply to the thread, but I only got two notifications. Didn't want anyone to think I would just hit and run! :frown:
  9. Hi Laura! I don't have a doctor in mind yet, my PCP told me I can chose from two different facilities, so I am hoping to find out some about each one before I have to make a choice. I am really excited about it.
  10. Hi, my name is Stacey and I am just starting the process for the lap-band and am really excited about learning what I can.
  11. Hi, My name is Stacey and I just got the go ahead to attend the weight loss surgery overview class from my PCP. He told me after I did that to let him know which facility I wanted to go to. I am in Novato, so my choices are Richmond and S. San Francisco. I was wanting to ask for opinions/experience and see which one would be the better choice for me. I know the Richmond is closer, but I don't want to just base my choice on that. I would love to hear what you guys think about the facilities you used. Thanks!
