  1. Here i thought i was the only one drinking Isopure and it looking the same way coming out as it did in (i know TMI) i'm not on a liquid diet but a low carb diet but i still have bathroom issues...and here i am eating lots of fiberous foods oh well just another step of the journey.
  2. Yeah an other 26'er... us 26'ers need to start a support group what do ya say???
  3. meat has no carbs but veggies do so you gotta watch which types of veggies you eat...i do internet searches to find the carb content of the veggies i eat... Good luck
  4. Are you drinking protein drinks?? GNC sells a product called Isopure that is really good with 50gm of protein per serving they have powder and some pre-made that is clear. they are very tasty...
  5. You could have that feeling because your body is detoxing...i know that every time i start a new diet my body does that... just drink lots of water and hang in there...
  6. I LUV THIS... I so cant wait till my legs don't touch anymore!!!
  7. here is a good place to get more info on lap band and Realize Compare Adjustable Gastric Bands - LAP-BAND vs. REALIZE Band Good Luck!
  8. i dont normally drink when i eat anyway so that part of the program doesn't bother me i do drink b4 i eat and that will have to stop...
  9. Just click on any of the weight tickers and it will send you to their web site from there design your ticker copy and paste the code to your signature that you can find in the upper left hand corner of your screen under "user CP" Good luck..
  10. I'm so glad to hear that...i have been reading other post and have started to get discouraged about getting my band because of what has been said thanks for posting... how you feeling 4 days out? you still on Clear liquids or what has you doc advised you to do? look forward to hear from you
  11. Like others have said it's up to your Doc what type of pre-op diet you need to follow as for me my Doc told me to follow a low carb/ high Protein diet like Atkins... Breakfast: Protein shake Snack: low carb snack bar like Atkins bar Lunch: turkey sandwich on low carb bread (you can get that at a health food market like Henrys) Snack: hand full of nuts Dinner: lean protein (beef, chicken, fish) and salad or steamed veggies.... If i get hungry and feel i want to eat more i usually have a glass of Water and if that didnt help i would make another Protein Drink. Isopure from natures best has 0 carb Protein drinks and are actually very good! Good Luck on your journey...
  12. well i have not been banded yet but i can tell you that i stop eating after 6pm just so i dont go to bed all full and feel sick the next day, and if i'm hungry after 6 i'll just drink Water or go to sleep early...
  13. uuhhh i have NO WORDS t describe how messed up your situation was!! i'm a medical assisting student and the first thing they teach us is to RESPECT the patient!!! i sure hope that things get better for you, how are you feeling now? good luck to you.
  14. I have a pre-op diet it is a low carb/high protein diet and it is going very well for me i have not cheated in the past 5 days that i have been on it. aside from feeling a little tired and cranky i feel great i have not weighed myself to see if i have lost any lbs but i can feel the difference in the way my clothes fit me. so even if you doc doesn't require a pre-op i think it is a good thing just so you can shrink your liver and feel better over all...Good luck to everyone
  15. Congrats Hope u feel 100% soon cant wait till d 26th and i get mine!
  16. Hiya So Cal guys & girls we should start a So Cal support group i am having a hard time finding one here in the San Diego area cuz i'm going to Mexico and they wont let me join unless their Doc was the one who bands me hope to talk to u all soon!
  17. This is my 3rd day and it was bad...b!@#hy, light headed, moody, crabby a big ball of nauseous rolled into one... i was told by day 5 things get better i guess my body is detoxing in a way.. Good luck
  18. OK today is day three of my pre-op diet of low carb/high protein eating and i must say i feel like crap! i am moody, crabby, lashing out at everyone am shaky and sick to my stomach. i dont wanna cheat i dont have that urge but i feel like this is never gonna end. this always happens to me when i start a diet and i fear that even when i get my lap band it wont go away. will it? will this feeling of being moody, crabby and just straight out being a b!*&h go away. i really want the lap band to work for me but am getting scared.
  19. why is that? even with GBS you can still not do what your supposed to still over eat still eat the wrong thing food still cheat. plus GBS is so drastic and has so many complications i wonder why it is still offered...
  20. Who was your Doc in Mexico and what hospital did you go to??? I'm going to Mexico come Aug 26th will be banded by Dr. Jose Rodriguez at the INT hospital in Tijuana... I am self pay as well and was wondering if something happens (complications need band removal in future) will my insurance pay for it. the wont pay for the lap band at all.
  21. I need some input for all you out there... about a year ago i had to have a kidney stone surgically removed and when the intubated me my left lung collapsed and woke up with the tube still in me and couldn't breath, i was freaking out and everything. now i don't know if it was because they didn't put the tube in correctly or what but i am afraid of that happening again. do any of you know if that is a common thing or just a random occurance???
  22. Knowing me i would have my last hoorah but do it a day or so before my surgery but i know my hubby will kill me if i do that... he he
  23. Any other Aug 26'ers out there??? i would like to start a support group since i can't find any here in San Diego that wont take me if i don't get banded from their docs.. i am going to Mexico and need support PM me if you would...:blushing:
  24. My question is why would they even give you a surgery date if your not approved yet??? isn't that just getting your hopes up???
