i haven't been through your situation, but before I was married I found that when i lost a boyfriend or a good friend I found another one to help me forget about the lost one. Make sense. I was too busy with a new boyfriend or friend that I didn't feel lonely anymore. I have a personality that i hate being alone, if i'm home alone i'm on the phone. I love being with other people, I never feel like being alone. The more the merrier is my attitude. So maybe if you start hanging with another person or go out and shop or do somethings. I find that when I am with friends even good ones, I don't talk a lot about myself or my problems, others are attracted to people with confidence. If someone asks me how I am, even if i am crappy, I'm great. I don't complain about anything. I used to be different, but now I have a lot more friends with a new positive outlook on life. When i need to vent or complain I do it on this forum basically, and very occasionally I will confide in a good friend. I also tell my husbnad everything. I don't want to drag people down with my dramas, you know what I mean.

sorry to hear that! I was there a few months ago seriously. i gained like 65lbs in one year. it was brutal. I just got my band and can't wait to be out of 18 and 20s.

hi! welcome, I have been banded 12 days and have lost about 11 lbs. Good decision. Oh I just love NH, when i was a kid we went to North Conway every other weekend.it was awsome! I miss going to Attitash on the mountain coaster, and swimming in the kanamangous (sp) highway river thing. Freezing cold water. Going to water country, riding the cog railway up mt. washington. Going to Storyland, the list goes on!

i have to add, that while i am not hungry after a few bites, I still have crazy head hunger and want to eat pizza hut!

I am 12 days post op, and just got clearance for mushies. today i had 1/4 chili through the blender with sprinkle of cheddar cheese and a tsp. of ff. sour cream, dinner/ curry broth from a Thai resteraunt, a few bites of rice in it, I chewed it up very well. about 7 cups of Water. Surprisingly I am not hungry, it's great!! Tomorrow I will have 1 scrambled egg 1/4 cup chili maybe some mashed butternut squash. yum. 8 glsses of water is my goal.

marjon, I don't think you'll get on a flight with matches in your shoe!! lol. and if you light one on a plane, who knows what kind of uproar you will cause. The day after surgery, my gas pains were pretty bad, but any gas that snuck out, didn't have a smell to it , and I don't think that started until a few days out. don't worry too much about it, just be prepared for an uncomfortable flight, bring a pillow and one of those neck pillow things with you and wear something super comfortable.

Hi, we want to visit Dublin, we have a long weekend in February for presidents day, we can fly their Ryan air for the whole family for $150 euro, so that is very affordable. Does anyone have any advice? questions Is February even a good month to come? Should we rent a car or is Public trans. good? any ideas on where to stay? we want to see Bunratty Castle, and O'briens Tower, and much more

I don't drink alcohol, but we make virgin daquaries and things like that instead. We are having a party and are going to watch all the amazing fireworks that they light off on my terrace. our house is on top of a huge hill, so we can see the entire village, and also the next big city perfectly. It's going to be so awsome!

Kay your funny, if i wasn't in Germany where there isn't a chain on every corner I would be dieing. The week before surgery it was my goal to have PH pizza, they are open weird hours, and everytime we stopped by they were closed. So i think i am craving that so much because I had no closure. You know what i mean, i never said goodbye. I didn't knowingly have my last taste. If I had, I wouldn't be dreaming of it so often. lol. well, i emailed my surgeon about moving on to mushies, just waiting for his answer.

I don't know if whey Protein is different, but I found that the XS brand of Whey protein has 50 grams per serving. I haven't tried it, but it's in powder form with 12 servings for $34.95. chocolate and vanilla. From reading the canister, it seems it's for people who are working out hard

I had a rough surgery experience, lots of pain, due to lack of pain meds, and German hospitals. But overall, I would still do it again. totally worth it! A little pain is far better than dying at a young age and not seeing my children have children. ya know???

no i'm not on mushy's yet, maybe on monday when i am two weeks out. I have had scrambled eggs, and oatmeal though, so maybe those are mushy's? On my swedish diet plan it says that, i could do mushies after 1 week, but my dr. emailed me and told me full liquids for 4 weeks. seems like a long time. I'm going to email him back and name a few things, like refried Beans and blended tuna and chicken and see what he says. I would like to have mashed sweet potato. That would be great. also some steamed carrots. I'm so nuts, I keep dreaming of food, crazy craving i have. like a piece of pizza Hut Pizza pepperoni where the pepperoni curls up at the edges and is crispy. yum. I too know it's head hunger becuase I also get busy and forget i'm hungry. I just miss my dear old friend food. Husband keep eating so much pizza, and had a big mac yesterday that looked so good, made tacos which i love, spaghetti, hemakes awsome spicy spaghetti. mmm.. he is pure torchure for a newly banded wife. keep up your great work everyone!!! usually when you have a scar you are supposed to keep it out of the sun, so the skin doesn't get damaged. I know when my sister had a dog bite on her face she had to keep it covered until it healed, and then after that put sunscreen on it religiously, so the scarring wouln't be so bad. I tan very well and any little scars i have on my arms and legs from when i was a kid, show up darker when i am tan. Maybe a spray tan, done professionally would be healthier and look just as good?

I don't care if i ever eat a burger again, but I would like to occasionally have a slice of pizza. I love California pizza kitchen, and pizza hut, and there are tons of italian places her in German and they have delicious thin crust pizza that I would love to have again. hopefully it would be ok to have a slice every once in a while.
