Pilko you sound exactly like me, the only time i ever lose weight is being pregnant! I am never hungry and have to force myself to eat. I always said, if I could just have this permanently than my problems would be fixed! now here is my chance. Oh I found the money!!

I'm am trying to self pay to get banded. I am in Europe and considering 2 different Dr.'s, Dr. Weiner out of Frankfurt, germany, and dr. Mignon from Belgium. I am trying to make and appointment with one of them, and I would like to know how long the process takes to get banded after your first appointment, if you are not using insurance. :help:

thanks liberty for the info, I can't harldy wait till tomorrow to give them a call. hopefully they will be more expediant than the dr. in frankfurt. I just want to have it done already. off the subject, how do i start a new thread, i can't find a start a new thread button?

Hi I live in Germany, and am thinking about using dr. mignon, I don't live too far from his office only a few hours, but I saw on the web site that the first appointment is in London, are there ever any exceptions? Is the financing easy?

I don't have it yet, but this is all about vanity for me. I try to say it's because diabetes runs in my family, but no, it's all about vanity. I spend hours online and in catalogs searching for clothing that I dream to wear. I have gained 50lbs this year and now that puts me at 100lbs overweight. I worked out 5 days a week and stuck to a healthy way of eating and still gained the weight. I think it was God's gift to me, now I can finally have surgery and lost that extra 50lbs I always carried with me since middle school. I hope losing 100 lbs is realistic. I love to work out and eat very healthy anyway, and have no health problems, so I am praying to have that body I have alwasy dreamed of having. a size 8 would make me so sosoosooo happy!! i'm so excited!!! I hope to find a dr. and financing here in Germany!

hi, how much did the surgery cost in Belgium, i am looking into having it done in Frankfurt, Germany and it cost 6,000euro, which includes all preop and post op costs. Belgium is not much farther from my house in Germany, so I wanted to see if this was a good choice or not. Also, is financing easy for the dr. in Belgium. I need financing, as my tricare insurance will not cover me, and I would like it done asap,not in a year from now after all of tricares crazy tests.

hi, my name is Danielle, I live in Germany, my husband is in the Airforce. I have not had surgery, but am looking for info on it and advice from real people who have had it. I hope I am posting this correctly. I am 5'4" and 245lbs. gained 50lbs this past year for no reason, i have absolutely no health problems, thankfully. I am now obsessed with this surgery, I am so anxious to get it. Now i just needd to find financing and a dr.!

not sure if I am doing this right, i just found this thread. I have TRICARE PRIME insurance, have anyone of you been able to get them to approve this surgery. I know they do bypass, but I really don't want to be cut open. I much rather the banding.
