  8. I live in Candada, sorry can't help.
  9. I was also a yoyo dieter and now with the band though i didn't lose that much last year - i don't gain anything back. Sometimes i put on a few pounds but with 1 or 2 days of watching what i eat i am back down to where i should be. I have been away from this board for a while and at times felt maybe i wasted my money. I feel reinvigorated and coming to this forum and reading all sorts of posts really helps a lot a lot.
  10. If you search on the internet as I did. key words "ideal weight" you should be able to find a test that you first measure your wrist. If your index finger overlaps your thumb you are small bone structure, if your index touches your thumb you are medium build, if there is a gap between index finger and thumb you are large boned which i am. I found this on the Ducan diet site. It then asked my age, height and so forth and came up with my ideal weight. Hope this helps.
  11. No, have you talked to your fill nurse or nutritionist?
  12. Absolutely incredible! You must be enjoying the smaller and new clothes too! You look absolutely fantastic and 20 years younger than your before photo.:waytogo: :welldone: :coolB:
  13. Hello, I have had jaw surgery approximately 12 days ago and though am going through an unbelievably painful recovery am glad I had it. It was necessary as my jaw was quite receded and in conjunction with my braces it was pretty much mandatory or no use getting braces to correct overbite. I have been on a strictly liquid diet and will be for another week and a bit (enjoying the weight loss), then to soft foods - at which time I will have my band filled back up to where it was prior to surgery. I would like to finish up my weight loss so was perusing the internet about no carb option for a quick few pounds loss. I came across this Dukan Diet and from the blogs that I've read it is quite encouraging. Quite a bit like Atkins MINUS the fat. Any thoughts? Anybody tried it?
  14. It's nice to hear the happiness in your post. Wow! It sounds like a life changing experience. I had lipo on my hips about 15 years ago and never regretted it even when i gained weight i had a not so bad looking figure. Please do post some before and after pics if you feel comfortable. Once again, congratulations!
  15. recovery still very painful and mouth sores have developed as well. Pretty good for weight loss though.

  19. Thanks to both of you!
  20. I too have that problem - what i try to do is eat healthy 80-90% of the time and eat junkier stuff once a week. it does hurt if you don\t chew the food enough. i have that added burden of having braces and can't even having anything too hard but still managed to carve off 25 pounds this last year. it isn\t so easy but unlke before - i've lost weight and havent put it back on.
  21. hello, i am having jaw surgery on tuesday, just need a few "i'll pray for you" and "good luck" thank you Lena from Canada

  23. It's my pleasure. I hope all is well with you though it sounds like it's not too good at the moment. Take care dear. I'm always here to talk but often don't have any great answers.
