  1. Howdy Michael and welcome to this forum. It's a great place with great people and loads of helpful advice.
  2. Welcome and best of luck Brenda! Glad to have you aboard!
  3. campbell's soup, creamy type, sometimes low fat chicken though I put some half and half cream in (about 3 tbsps) which makes it super yummy and that keeps me full for about 3 - 4 hours. I also make other creamy soups but from packaged powder mixes - they have nice Polish ones here in Toronto such as cauliflower or mushroom - very satisfying and very filling!
  4. :thumbup:Great news! Congratulations!
  5. Slimband, Toronto, pre and post care, 16,000 canadian, fills for life. Lena
  6. I've seen some really cute swimsuits in the sears catalog with a little skirt that still look kinda cool. Lena
  7. Hello, the consultant at the clinic that I went to is about 5'4" and started at 346, she is now 140. She let me touch the port on her abdomen to see how it felt. If she hadn't shown me where it was I wouldn't have known except for the scar that is there from the incision. I believe she had a tummy tuck but i didn't ask. When I was much thinner 20 years ago and had a baby I was left with sagging skin that will always be there unless I have it fixed. My highest weight at 5"3" was about 190. Hope this helps. Lena
  8. Hello, even with the productive burping it sounds like you should speak to your doctor. Health is important even if it does cost. Lena
  9. :thumbup:Way to go Palmtreegirl! It really is exciting isn't it. Congrats! Lena
  10. Welcome Marissa from Down Under. Hope you'll enjoy all the great posts here - many awesome people as I discovered when I joined recently. Is it cooling down there at the moment? Lena
  11. :thumbup:Looks great!
  12. Thank you AnneGG, worked great!!!! Thanks to all who replied.
  13. How do you get the ticker factory ticker in properly so that you can click on it to adjust it. Tried so many times with instructions found on internet re bb ? what do you exactly copy and paste and where do you exactly put that in the signature area? I copied and pasted what i thought was right but when i click on it there is no action. I know that i should be able to click on it and be brought to the site to adjust it.
  14. :thumbup:GREAT WORK GINGERJANE!
  15. :thumbup:perhaps a small bowl of soup? sometimes the warmth of the soup or a glass of warm milk helps to get a person to sleep - i know that it works for me. good luck!
  16. Tony, if you are only drinking fluids that might be a cause for low energy - I know I have energy around the house but when I try to go out I feel all of a sudden zapped of energy and want to get home. I'm moving on to fuller liquids tomorrow and see if that makes a difference. still bloated.
  17. :rolleyes2:Thanks tgo both of you who replied. I'll try to stay away from the scale but it is in the back of my minds. Yikes - 6 weeks - i hope it won't be that long but will deal with it. Good luck all! and thanks for your feedback!
  18. :rolleyes2:I guess everybody goes through it, i'm just wondering when it will go away - i feel like somebody blew up a beach ball in my stomach. Gas is still a problem but am walking around as well - however it does hurt if you take too big of a gulp of Water or juice. Hang in there in sunny Florida! and thanks for your feedback. Lena (mousek)
  19. Golden, I know how you feel. I am 5 days and I look like i'm going to have a baby - just about. I'm sore as well and gas is still a problem. Hang in there.
  20. :rolleyes2:Leigha, I just read your notes on the 800 - 1000 calories a day and work out twice a week - i think I can manage that as well. Golden - good luck and probably talk to you soon.
  21. Thanks so much for your reply Leigha. Have you been restricting your calories to a certain amount per day?
  22. :drool:Sorry "less to lose slower weight loss" rather than 90 lbs to lose- I hope Golden gets the message left by kkarryall (is that any relation to kitty karryall from the Brady Bunch?) That comment helped so much. This is the first time I'm smiling today!!!
  23. :rolleyes2:Thanks for great encouragement with the 20 lb remark. It starts to get very confusing when reading so much material. I was hoping that it would be at about that rate and I'm sure that my physician will also want this for me. I will not be going for a fill for a while as just banded last week. I hope 90 lbs to lose sees your great comment. Thanks!!!!!!
  24. I am also curious to see how some others did - some great posts on this thread and really encouraging for a slightly lower bmi start (but for my size unhealthy - i'm at 33). It seems that realistically a person could lose their weight at the rate of about 2 pounds a week, I wonder how many calories the average bandster is consuming with a bmi start of about 33?
  25. Hello everyone, new to this site and would like to ask how long bloating lasts and if that does effect weight. I got banded last week Apr 28 2010 and on clear fluid diet and weight hasn't moved. thanks for any feedback.
