  2. I was also banded at TR Houston in March 2010. I have NOT been back to them since 2011 because of the same foolishness that you experienced! They also kept telling me that I had a dilated pouch as well and would not give me a fill. I have not had a fill since 2011. Although I have lost all weight that I had planned to(on my own not depending on the fill) i am noticing that I am beginning to gain some back. I wish my insurance was covering the sleeve when I was going through the process because I would have went with the sleeve and not the band!!

  4. yea it does take a while to get an appt. Mine is also scheduled for mid Dec. I am going for a tummy tuck as well..
  5. Has anyone used this surgeon? I've heard he's the best in Houston. Just wondering if anyone has had any experiences with him.
  6. Yes the cost of the fills are rather expensive. My insurance is getting hit about $600 just for using their machine whether they fill me or not!!
  7. Anyone have any pointers for us "high pound seekers" (i.e. 15lbs or more) that would help us get the scale moving? I seem to get stuck at the same weight for a month or so and im hoping by doing this challenge it would help me see what im doing wrong.
  8. Im not sure what to do but it sounds like fun. This would be my 1st challenge. I am trying to loose about 15lbs
  9. Hello all!! Still havent found a Dr. in the immediate area who does fills for outside patients but I did FINALLY sucked it up and made the long drive to Bryan on yesterday to see Dr. Stephanie Eijsink and am very glad that I did!! She was amazing and well worth the drive and money!!! She was very informative, very patient and found my port on the 1st stick compared to having being poked over and over in the past for my fills! I would definately visit her again and would highly recommend her!
  10. This is soo weird!! For me I start to hiccup!! I never noticed that it was my sign of full until I read another thread on here as a sign to watch out for. So ever since then is when I noticed the hiccuping.

  12. Dont waste ur time going to True Results-Houston if you were not banded thru them. They dnt see outside patients. Im one of their patients and I havent had...No let me rephrase that... they WILL NOT give me a fill since November! Saying that im tight enough but yet im alwayz hungry and im not losing any weight!!
  13. This Dr's. fills are $300!! He will see patients not banded thru him as an "outside patient" meaning that he will NOT file thru the insurance and the visits are $300!
  14. I was approved thru AETNA and only had to do 3 months of supervised visits and was then approved in less than 5 days after submission.
  15. Ive been with AETNA since 2006-2007 but they had a clause that didnt cover the procedure. They just changed their policy in 2009 to cover weightloss surgeries and I jumped right on it and ended up having the procedure in March of 2010.
  16. I went thru AETNA and it was a breeze. After my 3 month's of Dr. visits and completing all of the other requirements (EKG, Psych eval) my claim was submitted and approved in less than 5 days and I had my surgery 2wks later
  17. lol..... you and me both!!! I am FINALLY back in ONEderland as of last week. The scale showed me 199 on March 10th (my 1yr bandaversary) and then moved right back up to 203-205. I do fault my self because I did began to eat alot of icecream and toast.....lol..... It is sooo hard to stay away from them with so much temptation!!
