I used to be a college athlete. In high school, I would run, lift weights, and still play two hours of tennis. But, I always had to eat healthy to be thin and had struggled with my weight since I was a little kid. A few years ago I moved in with my boyfriend (who is the best) and we were having a great time. I started eating and drinking like him and before I knew it, I had gained a ton of weight. It just snow-balled from there. Now I'm over 100 lbs overweight. I finally made the decision to call about WLS last November. I was mortified that I would even qualify. I hadn't really come to terms with my size. I got in to see my doctor in January and have set my surgery date for May 3rd. Reading everyone's story on this site is really inspiring. All of my doubts about getting the surgery are going away because I feel like I'm not alone! I'm looking forward to my new life and I can't wait to play tennis again :)
