babyk..aww i'm sorry to hear that. I hate when that happens. although sometimes the vomiting helps relieve the pressure but man oh man it hurts! Elfie and cwm...wow..my doc told me i could never take nsaids ever again. I've taken rx meds for my headaches but they do nothing..tylenol does nothing for me either. excedrin is the only thing that takes it away but now i can't use them...i pray i don't have one anytime soon! anyway...good luck

i'm right there with you! lucky you that you got to eat a 'meal' atleast once a day! Today is the last day for veggies..tomorrow will be strictly shakes and water! what did they tell you to do when something gets stuck? i'm nervous about that! I'm looking forward to the mushy phase! lol i am hungry!

copa...i'm glad you are gettin along great! i am finding it harder to stay on the liquid diet the closer to my surgery. Like you, i can't wait til i can eat something solid. I have my surgery on wednesday and i'm so ready! pray all goes well and will be looking forward to your posts!

I thought this would be gettin easier..the not eating part...seems like it's only gettin worse. the cravings are very strong! :crying::thumbup::smile:

this is too funny!! i haven't gotten to this point yet... COPA...you are lucky that your husband is eating sandwiches..i still cook for mine and it's torture to cook/smell the food and not be able to eat. I have my surgery on the 29th and i'm so ready to get it over with...

i know what you mean about missing eating...i still have to cook for my husband and son..man it's hard to serve them their food and me pouring my shake but when i look at the scale it makes it worth it. i'm glad you don't have to go back to work right away!! I'm fortunate enough to be able to stay home...so hopefully i recover fast. keep on keeping on girl!! you are doin great!

sandra...but i wonder why they want me to? i ve never had problems with clottin..infact i've had bleeding ulcers so i was surprised..i might call the doc again just to double check. i don't know if they just do it across the board.. papoose...wow a whole month? sunflower..i wish mine was only once..

Qtney...maybe that is what my problem is..it's too thick. lol I bought vanilla so that way i could add strawberries and banana. i'm making tea now..i hope i can get all the water in that way Copa...wow..you'v dropped 4lbs already? i haven't dropped any!

I've been reading tons and tons of blogs..i dont' believe i've read any that mention having to have blood thinning injections after surgery. When I went to my preop today they told me for one week after the surgery I'd have to inject myself with blood thinners. Anyone else have to do this?:thumbup::cool2::laugh:

Well today is day two on my liquid diet...I'm having a lil trouble drinking the shakes without gagging! I am also not liking the 80oz of water i need to drink a day..i feel like i'm going to drown! :cool2: but i'm gonna keep on keeping on! It'll all be worth it! anyway..went for my PreOp today..everything was fantastic! I'm so excited. good luck to all who are having surgery tomorrow!! :thumbup:

hey Chriper...you are doing great! wow..my doc said i could have all that stuff in addition to the protein shakes. I guess by actually 'chewing' something is going to help me mentally. It's been hard today...but with God's help i am going to make this work! copa...you CAN do it! I'm sorry to hear about your kidney infection...hope that clears up asap! looking forward to following your progress..i have mine on the 29th!
