  1. WOW! Great results:juggle: I'm in shock! that made me say WOW out loud and made my jaw dropped when I saw your numbers - waaaah I'm jealous. LOL
  2. I noticed a big change at about 4 weeks, and now I'm 3 mos post op, and have only lost 4 lbs this last month, however, everyone is telling my how skinny i've gotten this month? Go figure? I will take my measurements on Wednesday and we'll see how many inches I've lost. My clothes feel looser. I get another fill tomorrow, so hopefull from month 3 to 4, I will have more of a weight loss. I can't complain too much, I have lost a lot of weight in the beginning.
  3. :clap2: :clap2: Congrats!
  4. I think being hydrated is so true. The only problem I have is my doctor doesn't want me to eat or drink after midnight the night before a fill. I get my 2nd one tomorrow and I am trying to drink as much liquids today as possible, so I can't follow the instructions about drinking an hour before a fill since I'm not allowed. I'm also on my menstrual cycle, so I'm doing the No-No and having a fill. I was tighter this weekend, but it has loosened up now and I'm about over the TOM, so I think it will be okay. I do believe that it sometimes takes 2 weeks before the fill settles in.
  5. I think if the doctor is pretty familiar with your port area, he will do fine. I know many do it without flouro and have no problems. My doctor sends me to the hospital and one of the radiology doctors does my fills under flouro. But I know many doctors do it theirself without the flouro machine. Good-luck!

Menu today - Doing Master Cleanse before I start the BFL diet/exercise challenge next week. Exercise - 5 am - 34 min on treadmill, 3% incline, 3.3 mph, 238 calories, 1.76 distance. Notes - i have my 2nd fill tomorrow, a little nervous about it. I have no problems right now, no PBing, no sliming, I can eat pretty much anything and everything, but don't eat more than 1 cup of food. Wt this morning read 196.6:phanvan TOM is here, so I'm sure that is why. Not really too worried about it. Wednesday is my 3 mos banding anniversary, I will take my measurements, take a progression photo. I will also take a photo for my "before" pic for the 12 week BFL challenge that I am going to begin on Monday 4/23/07.

  12. Maybe I should clarify my statement, I can't eat or drink after midnight the night before my fill. I go for my 2nd fill 4/17 - Next Tuesday, and I can't wait!
  13. They have told me nothing to eat or drink after midnight, period. So, I'm in the same boat as you.
  14. Tracy and Brandi - you both are going to make it, you have proven you are strong women and your doing great. It may not be easy at times, but you WILL get thru this. Your both doing so good and are an inspriration to many women out there. And remember, its their loss, they lost something valuable!
  15. edieparks - you look GREAT! Look what you have accomplished in LESS than a year! Wow! I saw your before & after pics week or so ago, and my jaw dropped - good job!
  16. I emailed you Kenna - I live in Tulsa.
  17. Thanks Sissy - I have a long way to go, but I'm so happy with my progress and happy that I no longer feel so depressed and lost like I did before my surgery.
  18. Let me give you an example of what happened to me - I went from this (June of 2006 to January 2007) to that. See the difference? I was at my weight that I am now in June, and by November, I went from 195 to 248! Man, talk about a lot of weight gain in a short period. And notice the difference in hair and makeup.
  19. Man, that would be a dream come true. I've read on boards that you have have the rashes documented, so you will need to go to the doctor each time, and they look at 6 months of reacurring problems. Its very difficult, but it can be done. Also it depends on the amount of skin (the size of it). Plastic surgery is a hot thing right now, so the insurance companies are very picky. I'm starting to save now for a tummy tuck, I know I will need one later.
  20. Its definitely changed the way I eat the rest of the day. I find when I exercise in the AM, I'm more prone to stick to healthy eating the rest of the day. Exercise helps me stay focussed and helps the inches melt off, also makes me feel good on the inside knowing I've done something good for myself.
  21. Thanks so much for doing that....that is good to know. I am going on a cruise August 5th so I would like to be finished with the challenge by then, so I will need to start 4/23. I'm 3 mos post op and my doctor just released me to do weight training, so not sure what your docs orders are, but make sure you check with him before you start.
  22. You can do it! So sorry for your loss, even though it was 15 years ago, I'm sure it still hurts. Losing a parent at an age where you really need them must have been hard. Your mother would be very proud of you for taking the right steps in order to turn your life around, that is what counts!
  23. OMG - you took the words right out of my mouth. I went thru that too, no makeup, my hair looked like dog do do, always thrown together. And now, I feel like there is real hope.
  24. Kim - I've read that some theories for erosion and/or slipped bands is the fills being too aggressive. Which, worries me a bit, because my doctor is very aggressive. So don't get discouraged with your fill level, just keep getting them increased until you hit that sweet spot. Slow fills might be the way to go and have less complications in the end. 21 lbs is a great loss. It only takes 10 lbs to make some healthy difference in your body, and you have already lost 21 lbs, that is great!
  25. Thanks nerveragain. I have read the book, and I know it works because I saw my friend do it - and win! I really just want to complete the program, just to say I did it. If I don't complete it, I will always "wonder". So, I'm gonna do it! Feel free to join in too. I've been exercising, but not as intense as the BFL program, and I haven't been doing it 6 days a week. So, it will be interesting to see what my progress will be.
