  1. awwww, Salsa... im sorry... PLEASE take it easy. you are still recently post op. especially in the heat.
  2. BBK - that is amazing!!!!!
  3. not sure if i agree with this... just because you have excess fat doesnt necessarily mean you have excess energy reserves ... i dunno, maybe its different for women vs men, but i dont know... congrats on the duo
  4. we dont use either shoes nor socks.
  5. georgia, LOVE the new profile pic!! you look mahvelous!
  6. congrats She!!!
  7. fine - you guys are no fun!
  8. not if it even has the potential to make someone cry....
  9. WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!! HOT MAMMA! BBK, you are astonishingly gorgeous!
  10. as a bandster, it really is difficult getting the carbs and cals in - specially early in the morning (i'm usually super tight in the am)... my suggestion, find a good shake you like and load up on it... or even some carb loading for your evening meal. my fave shake (and i DO NOT RECOMMEND it for someone who is not working out regularly) is muscle milk. i didnt care for the 'light'... i loved the chocolate Peanut Butter... mixed it with either Water or milk for more cals/carbs. it is high in cals and fat.... but if you are running 5+ miles, you need the cals and you burn the fat, so i didnt worry about it when i drank it. they have all kinds of flavors - i bought it from body building.com... EXCELLENT customer service. Bodybuilding.com - CytoSport Muscle Milk - Muscle Growth And Repair! On sale now! best of luck to you on your half!
  11. not pleased, but she puts on a good face
  12. i really appreciate that post, Susan. thank you. i know it was harsh, you're right - i didnt do it to make her cry, but she needs to see reality. and sometimes reality smacks you 'upside your head'
  13. i dont see anything wrong with eating fast food every once in awhile (i ate a Sonic breakfast sandwich this morning!!!! ). but like MacMadame said, it wasnt just days after being banded...
  14. to the people who dont do research, go to a foreign country, sign consent forms that have typos, are generally uncomfortable with the situation and still get banded ... WHY?????? same goes for those that eat solids 2-6 days post op.... WHY??????? i mean really?
  15. salsa, sorry about the sleep issues. did you get a chair for the shower? if not, please please be careful. swelling is a b(ahem)... at least you are in a cooler house now. C
  16. you're just lucky salsa you are still restricted without a fill. i have 1/2 my fill out and can eat a bit (when im not nauseated too much)... i've found one thing that keeps the nause's at bay is a lime fresh fruit slush from Sonic... i went to buy one this morning and was starving and i ordered one of their Breakfast sandwiches... it was devine and ***knock on wood*** so far i havent hurled... oh yeah, thread about running ... hmmmm ... sorry - nothing here.
  17. jachut, you look amazing! congrats on the 10K time! phenominal!!!
  18. Chickie, you are in my thoughts. C
  19. ok ok ... i didnt mean to make her cry and it was harsh, but a big mac???? sigh...
  20. o m f g! i couldnt hold back... a f'ing BIG MAC!???!?!?!!??!? **sigh**
  21. im sorry, you ate a BIG MAC 4 days after surgery? even pre-band, is that really a great food choice? im sorry if i am coming across harsh, but really. you have a life changing surgery and you eat a BIG MAC for Protein? were there no grilled chicken breasts available? there are also tons of protein shakes on the market. google them, you'll find tons. search for them here and you'll find tons. come on! even if you had the most ignorant surgeon who gave no post op instructions, a big mac? the post op diet is there to ensure your band heals properly and your stitches heal. its not to torture anyone.
  22. Lisa - just remember every doctor is different. unless you are the original poster's band surgeon, i really dont think its good advice to say that she'll be ok... you dont KNOW that.
