Rant about Biggest Loser
yeah i have NO DOUBT that Brady water loaded. i personally think that should be considered cheating and an automatic below the yellow line. i watch it for the transformations... and you do get a few determined people (Ali last season and i cant remember her name right now for this season - yellow team - girl maybe begins with a C ???)

Poll: Question For Pro-choicers?.
although i am currently almost 24 weeks pregnant, i am pro-choice. i, however, do not think i could ever have an actual abortion. due to my "advanced maternal age" (37 at delivery), i was given 2 rounds of tests that check for "chromosomal deficiencies"... i informed them no matter what the result of the blood work, i would not be getting an amnio nor would i abort.... if the life is not viable, _I_ am not the one to decide that. back to the question though - - i think only first trimester abortions and when the mother's health is seriously in danger should be performed. the first trimester gives the mother plenty of time to think and decide... it would be a tough decision and i'm glad i've never had to make it...

Breastfeeding in public:
i voted fine with some covering (blanket, etc)... i hope to B/F and if someone finds offense and says something, well.. i will more than likely give them an earful.. i think as long as it's discreet, it is fine.

yeah, that whole ignore feature is amazing isnt it!!:thumbup::eek: yeah, i thought so too... the baby is measuring right on target (uterus measures 24 weeks when i was 23w3day), the babe was 1lb 1oz 2 weeks ago and that's just a tad above average...

Cloth vs. Disposable Diapers
ok, so the tri-folds are like the 'old fashioned' diapers ... those look complicated!! i just dont want to end up with a huge mess... i am NOT a poop fan (not that anyone really is, but )

Cloth vs. Disposable Diapers
thanks for the info Jaime.. i dont really want to mess with prefolds/covers/etc... about how many did you need to have? the initial investment is pretty expensive!!

i know who hasselbeck is IRL, i meant on the board... do not know what we're having yet (modest baby)... we have another ultrasound Monday... YAY!!!!!!!!!! 10 pounds is great!!! doc is not happy about the 17 pounds, especially since i continue to lose. Boost and Ensure were mentioned ... but i'm eating 90% healthy (add in some Ben & Jerry's Coffee Heath for some calories...)

initially i didnt want to know ... there are so few true surprises now.. DH wanted to know .. and umm, i'd bug the crap out of him if he knew and i didnt so, i changed my mind... plus, it will really help with planning... BUT... it seems i have a modest (and stubborn) little one ... we go in for another ultrasound next Monday.... my thoughts are its a boy, but who knows??

Almost through 1 Trimester, and my oddities.
i honestly think if i wouldnt have had the TT, i wouldnt be preggers now... all that extra fat still stored in my gut was just wayyyyy too many hormones. yes, i got the emails and PMs saying that "see, mistake having the TT when you had so much to lose", but i really consider myself so very lucky.... i KNEW i was going to need a revision... duhh, when you have a TT at 250-260 and lose more weight, you're goign to need somethign... now i just have added reason to get the TT (which now may not be as easy as it was before since i quit my job) one not so great thing about the TT though is that it is interfering with the ultrasound somewhat ... gender determination has been impossible so far... my first one, we could see him, but had legs crossed and would.not.move them.... ever since, no good shots... my Perinatologist said that there's a chance we wont see it... which sucks in terms of planning, but as long as they get all the needed shots for measuring, etc... im ok with that. i just cannot imagine seeing the movements... cant fathom it... good luck! keep us posted.
