  1. Pat, congrats on your loss and surgery!! i've worked out every day except Thursday. i am having 'issues' with my thighs. my trainer says i have 'overtrained' and i need to take a few days off. i had an hour massage today and that helped a bit, but i am going to take 3 days off. :phanvan THAT i do not like... but my overall health and well being is more important than 3 days of exercise. keep up the excellent work gals!!!
  2. i PM'd lapbandit. she is ok, just busy.
  3. that's one thing i am petrified of ... once i finally hit the 2's, i probably wont even get on the scale for a couple of weeks just in case ... i would probably completely go off the deep end if i went to 2's then back up to 3's ... even if it was just 1 pound!
  4. YOU rock my socks!!! you are truly an inspiration!
  5. Molly, sorry to hear about that! hopefully your fill will nip it in the bud! i cant imagine what i would do without my fill (ok, yeah, i can ... EAT and EAT and EAT ..)
  6. Carol and Elisabeth (and everyone really), thanks so much for your support, i truly appreciate it. seeing everyone's stats gives me the extra little push that i need to (hopefully) drop the next set of pounds. the only problem - my legs are so sore and tight from that stupid elliptical that it literally hurts to walk ... :faint: my first name is Christine, btw. although i am HORRIBLE at remembering names. numbers no problem, names have always been an issue for me.

  8. well, i am the perfect thread killer ... so here goes... i am sitting here bored at work and crying from laughing so hard. read every page here, the posts were great!!
  9. Jacqui, i for one, have always admired you so much for your running. i just cant picture myself going there. granted i am less than 1/2 way to my goal. maybe when i hit about 250ish i can start. it just wrecks my knees and hips when i go on the treadmill for more than 4mph. you are doing fabulously!
  10. Terri, congratulations - on the WL and the baby on the way. you have done an amazing job!
  11. tann - you continue to amaze me. i, too, will weigh in on wednesday.
  12. purple monkey - WOW 8 pounds in 4 days is amazing!! congratulations!
  13. i like Julie's answer of being in control - a lot!! i also like being able to push myself ... initially going on the elliptical for 1 mile ... getting close to a mile, then pushing myself to 1 1/4, then 1 1/2 and next time i look down i am at 2 miles - so very empowering!!
  14. 25 mins elliptical - 2 miles all over 10 incline - 6 mins 20 incline 11 mins bike - 4 miles i made my May challenge goal of 85 miles
  15. that is amazing! congrats Tonya! looks like you've lost all of your TOM water weight!
  16. that was my main fear, that i wouldnt wake up when i was supposed to. this surgery has changed my life completely. i now exercise 5-9 times a week and have lost 98 7/8 pounds since October 2006. i would do this surgery again in a heartbeat.
  17. BetsyJane, me too - one day. not ready for it yet though... today was a great workout elliptical - 13.5 mins - 1.5 miles - 20 incline for over 4 mins!!! bike - 26.5 mins - 9.5 miles elliptical - 16.5 mins - 1.25
  18. kity took the words out of my mouth. i go 5-9 times a week (generally 6-7 though). one day i do 45 mins cardio and upper body, the next i do the cardio and lower body. one thing i have been doing lately is the interval training. i will go REALLY hard on the elliptical (190-220 RPM) for 2 minutes, get off and then do weights (1 set of 15-20), get back on the elliptical, same thing 190-220 RMP, then back to that first machine. do the same machine 2-3 times and then do a cool down with cardio. this should take about 45 - 60 mins. it is a TOTAL butt kicker, but it got my weight loss going again. i would not do this until you are in good cardio shape. (i am fat yet fit at the same time if that makes sense). good luck with the elliptical. i could only do a few minutes at first. it's a machine i love to hate.
  19. sorry to hear about your accident! i would call the surgeon just in case.
  20. when i click on journals (next to home, userCP, Gallery, etc) it basically just refreshes the page i am on. for instance, if i hit it now, the following link comes up: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=5# any idea when this can be changed? i really miss reading the journals. thanks!
  21. i am a pear too. i hate it! size 18/20 top, 22-24ish bottoms, sometimes higher :phanvan i do the elliptical as well, today i cranked it up to a 20 incline (highest it would go) and it kicked my butt... SO HARD! my knees crunch as well, i hate it.. i just keep on whatever i can do to burn the fat. have you tried Aqua? the only bad thing with that is being in the Water exhausts me. good luck!
  22. i LOOOOOOVE the Avenue and actually just bought a really cute dress from Dress Barn on sale for $39
  23. here it is http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f80/lb-pissing-me-off-34446/
  24. I made up for yesterday today!! interval training - 35 mins ellipt and upper body 1.5 miles bike - 6 miles elliptical - up to 20!!!! incline (highest it will go) .5 miles 45 mins aqua class less than 2 lbs til I hit 100 gone...oh boy!
  25. lol ... somehow i doubt that! i did fidget quite a lot today. i read somewhere (no idea where but it was recent) that you can burn up to 300 cals a day by fidgeting - so that's what i did ...
