  1. i am sorry you are having such a difficult time. what kind of pre-op diet did your surgeon recommend? what should you be eating right now? should you be on liquids only? mushies? sounds like some may be head hunger. drink your Water ... if you are eating eggs and cheese, then you are in the stage where you could really drink some major water (60-84 ounces a day spaced out - not at once). water load, then eat, wait the required time, then water load again. your urine should be near clear. maybe call your surgeon to see what they think??
  2. gotcha. (i know everyone is different but...) i am VERY well restricted and can eat anything i want. had a burger for lunch today, 2-ish oz of rib eye last night, shrimp, etc... you really are doing SOOOO well. ~C

  9. hi, is it possible to have a subscription to the journals area as well?
  10. YOU, my dear, rock my socks!!! such an inspiration to me and many others. i love your "Gym Nazi" under your pic... i will look into that book. C edited to add, just ordered it - will be delivered tomorrow..
  11. on plan today cause i slipped - big time - last night :cry
  12. amaara I can pretty much get anything down I want. including chicken and steak. in fact for dinner tonight I had about 2 oz if a ribeye and it was soooooooo good. I am very well restricted since my last fill. good luck!
  13. i found this thread on another board and loved the idea. i will try to come and post here daily with my answer ... 30August 22.3 pounds to go, weight wont go down if i'm not on plan ... anyone else??
  14. Shannon, sorry about your high BP. you may just have to suck it up and make time. i couldnt find the time either, so i get up at 420 each morning and go work out. before, i would crawl (begrudgingly) out of bed about 615-630 ... major change, but the exercise has helped SOOOOO much. good luck.
  15. i dunno if i am going to make this one either. 8 pounds? that's a stretch... any thoughts on next challenge? from Labor day to Thanksgiving? that would be a nice long time to lose some serious weight. thoughts ???
  16. most of the times it is a slightly runny nose, sometimes a hiccup. i LOVE my soft stop!!
  17. chickatee ... oohhhhhh ... sooooooo close!!! you can do it!
  18. i personally just did not care for it. i thought it was too limited in their equipment.
  19. that sounds about right ... every surgeon thinks they are right... that's why we always suggest to follow your surgeon's guidelines. you'd think that allergen would come up with a set of guidelines for everyone to follow ... **shrug**
  20. not necessarily a 'Protein drink', but i love Atkins Caramel Latte shakes. they do have 15 gm protein and 4 gm total carbs. throw it in the freezer for about 20 mins and tastes like a Starbucks frapp
  21. hi apple, thanks.. when i was first banded (i did not move before banding - exercise? why bother?? ) i went for 8 minutes about 1.?? miles an hour on the treadmill. every time after, i increased another 2 or more minutes. i was finally able to go 45-60 mins on the treadmill. after doing that for several months (at an incline) i did get shin splints so i transitioned over to the elliptical which i have a love / hate relationship ... i started on the elliptical for 3 minutes and gradually built up again. i can now do a 9 minute mile at a resistance of 5 or 6 and can go for 60 minutes if i absolutely must. i do burn tons of cals on that stupid machine. i just push myself to do it. i am reeeeeealllllly superstitious so my miles cant equal 13 - either alone or combined - so that helps push me a little more. it looks like you are on the right path, you can do this. take it in 2 minute blocks. push yourself but not too hard initially.
  22. congrats to both of you! :clap2::clap2:
  23. welcome sit back and read - there is LOTS of info here.
  24. try a search for "bandster hell" - that is what you are experiencing right now. it does get better.
