  1. Hi Everyone, I just want to let you know that I am having the Rouen Y gastric bypass surgery done on January 10th. I am not going to risk the lapband again. The fills never worked for me. I never found my sweet spot. Best of luck to all of you and have a very happy holiday.
  2. Hi Everyonel I went to the hospital for a slipped band, however, the doctor could not save it. He removed my band. I am so upset right now and feel like I lost my best friend. My surgery was on Tuesday so I am very sore and resting; My next queston is - do I have a new one put in and go through all this again or do I just not take the risk.:help:
  3. My band has slipped and I have surgery on 8/28/07. I meet with the surgeon tomorrow. I had severe vomiting because of obstruction and severe pain. This has not been fun. I was not good about paying attention to the full sign. I will keep you guys posted as to what is next.
  4. I have surgery for August 28th also. My is to repair my slipped band. I am just as nervous as I was the first time around.
  5. Alexandria, Congrats on the rebanding. Being given a second chance feels like a mircle. I know you will do great. I am having surgery on 8/28 for band slippage. Can you tell me if the surgery is the same as when they first put the band in? Why did they have to remove your band? I am sooo nervous.
  6. I was orginally banded in December 2003. I have lost a total of 43lbs.
  7. Well I guess I was in denial for months but I started vomiting a lot with each meal I ate. Last week I ate 1/2 an apple with peel on and got soooo sick I thought I would die. It took about 2 hours for pain to go away after many trips to bathroom. I called the doctor because I was scared and he did an Endoscopy (sp?) and discovered the slip. Since then I have not eaten much and I am still in pain. Can't wait until the 28th. I have not been the best bandster. I sabatoged myself from the beginning by not following the rules. I will this time. Now I know the consquences.:cry
  8. I am having surgery for a slipped band on 8/28/07 and was wondering if anyone has every had to go through this. Is the surgery just like having a new band put in. Will the pain be the same and do you do the same diet? I have not had my appt with doctor yet to ask these questions. Have you lost weight since being re-banded? Thanks.
  9. I have had band slippage and scheduled for surgery on 8/28/07.
