  1. Congrats on your weight loss. Keep up the good work :thumbup1:
  2. :biggrin0:Well I had my 1st post-op appointment today and everything is healing great. From my pre-op date I was 495 (May 10th) Surgery date (May 24th) I was 477 & 1 week post op (June 1st) I?m 457. Man that?s 20 pounds in a week & 38 from pre-op that?s gone. I?m so thankful for my Lord keeping and seeing me through so far & know that it?s only the beginning of my journey. :biggrin0:
  3. Well I just had to come down from that Macho Man tuff feeling and realized that I may feel great, but my body needs time to recover. So I?ll be there but just helping coach the bases.
  4. I felt the same way yesterday around 1030. I drink a protein shake wand the feeling went away. I think I hadn?t had enough protein in. Again I?m still not getting as much in as you, I?m fighting to get about 40/50 grams a day @ 1 week post-op.
  5. I have moved on to the full liquid phase too. I certainly try the potato Soup for tomorrow. How did you make it?
  6. I?ve always been one to drink close to 1 gallon of pure Water a day, so my mind is going crazy trying to just sip. I had to find other ways to add more water to my diet. I drink about 3.5 16oz bottles of water a day and try to eat about two large glasses of sonic ice. It works for me.
  7. I started Phase II also, but I having a hard time getting in enough Protein. I?m drinking shakes twice a day, drinking half of an Isopure , 3.5 16oz bottles of Water. I?m also able to drink about 2 4oz glasses of gumbo/soup juice. I?m staying stuff all day long and wondering who in the world I?ll add anything else in my diet. Yea I know that pizza is out for now but not forever. I?ll just have to eat it a lot different. My wife makes one on a tortilla with ro-tells/tomato sauce and fresh shrimp and light cheese. It?s really good.
  8. My post wasn?t meant to offend anyone; it was intended to be funny and helpful to others. I know that through this I?ve learned to listen to my body a lot more cautiously.
  9. Well I have officially been inducted into the NEVER TRUST A FART CLUB. Well here it goes, as I drank my first Atkins Advantage shake yesterday it was going down real easy and it taste so good. I was just sipping away and around the half way point ?about 30 min? I felt my stomach making some different noises. I was glad to hear them but was still curious :confused:as to what they were. Well there it went One Fart, Two Farts both went good :lol0:, I got up to go to the toilet and as I got there and begin to sit, the third fart, OHH it wasn?t a fart :lol0: and it went all over the place. I mean on the floor, toilet, and some on the wall. I was like ?I DIDN?T EVEN STRAIN WITH THIS ONE? and it came out shooting like a double barrel shotgun. Well I want to Pay It Forward ?NEVER TRUST A FART? :lol0:
  10. Thanks to the ones who got the joke and to the ones who was truly showing genuine concern for my health. To clear things up, I haven't ate any of that physically it was a joke I told to my son and wife and they thought it would get yall laughing. I truly went through with this surgery to become healthier and to loose weight not my humor. My NUT said I cant start the full liquids four days out, but cause of shared stories I’ve read with other doctors wanting a full 7 to 10 days , I’ve decided to just stick to the SF Popsicles and broth for the 7 days. Thanks Again for all the advice.
  11. Well I got sleeved on Monday morning and I?m already eating Cheese dip and Pizza. My son want to know why I didn?t save him any I told him cause he was sleeping when I ate it. Is this too soon being I?m only 5 days out. Well I?ve being eating this since day 3 of the surgery in my head. When I told him that?s where I have been eating it he fell out laughing.:001_tt2::001_tt2::001_tt2: Well the way I see it I can eat what every I want it my head without felling guilty. Well the SF Jello has been tasting like so many different things the last 5 days. Well I?m going strong and hasn?t deterred from my orders yet. I?m feeling great too. I thought it would get some laughing too. :wink1:
  12. I cant do Broth either, & the commercials about food are unreal. I never noticed that before.

  24. You know your right. And i forgot to ask my doctor but I'm pretty sure that she would have said the same thing. My wife says that it didn't pay me to even ask cause SHE "My Wife" had already spoken that she's not about to let me hurt myself after all this training she invested in me.
