June surgery dates
I know I have been in here saying I have done the liquid protien shake diet before with my lap band, and it gets easier as you move through it. However, day three and I are not friends. I feel weak as heck, and I was only 30 minutes late with my second shake today and truly thought I was going to pass out while caring for a patient earlier today. So was I wrong? Obviously day three is not the magic day. What day did you start to feel better on your pre-op diet? It kind of scares me because I have the 2 week pre-op diet, then after surgery it is a month of liquids, followed by a month of purée, then a month of soft foods until I reach normal foods after that.

Surgery Date
My mom is the same way. She worries Bout the what if's. and I appreciate that, but I currently do not have any co-morbidities. I know if I don't so this I will develop diabetes. My whole family has it. I need to keep these things under control now and not get them while I can. The other things that may or may not come up I will handle one step at a time.

How was healing with the sleeve compared to the lap band. I am in the same boat and being sleeved soon. This is the one thing that is really making me nervous. I was up and shopping two days post op with the band, and now I fear that I won't be able to do anything for a week after sleeving.

2 week liquid diet
I am currently doing my 2 week pre-op all protien shake diet. I found that I like Unjury chocolate shakes. I am one of the rare ones that did not like the Premier Protien. I found it too swee. To me, the Unjury Chocolate tastes like chocolate milk.

My new journey (Pre-op Diet)
How do you feel tonight? I started my pre-op shakes and will admit, I had the worst headache by nighttime. I woke up with it still, but by 11:00 this morning, I was feeling great!! Just wanted to let you know that if you feel bad now, it will get better!!!

my situation. ....
I had a similar situation. I decided to have lap band surgery and I only told one person. By the end of the week, multiple people I worked with were asking me about it. Luckily everyone was supportive. The friend I told initially, it turns out she did not believe in weightloss surgery and thought it was unneccessary. I can say we no longer speak now.

- Pre-op with PCP
Cms 213 Well, by the time I got to the appointment I was able to relax myself quite a bit. B/P was 117/84. That was good! CMS213, wow! Your body was definitely working for to have this. I am glad it worked put for you!- June sleevers?
People teasing you with food is just outright rude! You need to be surrounding yourself with people who will support you. It will get easier.- Pre-op with PCP
I am not on meds. My blood pressure is usually 110/70ish. Today it was 166/95! Yikes. It has come down some though. That is a good thing. Last time I took it it was 149/84.- June sleevers?
I think I am going to start doing the same. I hope it keeps me out of "mean mode". The last time I had to do it my best friend pointed out I wasn't exactly pleasant during the first few days. Just remember after 3-4 days you get used to it.- Pre-op with PCP
So today is my pre-op with my PCP and my EKG. I know it is nothing to worry about, but I so excited to have this surgery that I am freaking myself out! I am so worried she will find something that my blood pressure is higher than ever. I know I will be fine, but I having some jitters about this. I almost feel like am idiot.- June sleevers?
I know we are so close, but it still seems so far away. I had the lap band and they now I am being converted to the sleeve, so I have done the liquid diet before. It SUCKS the first few days, but it gets easier. I will be starting mine on Memorial Day. And I will be in the car driving back from North Carolina for 8 of those hours. With three kids in the back seat. Should be interesting to say the least.- New here
Hi Domini!! I am getting sleeved June 10th also! And I am also a nurse. I am so nervous and so excited all at the same time! I can't wait for the next step in our journey!- June sleevers?
Me!!! Dr Watkins and I are scheduled to have surgery June 10th!- June sleevers?
