  1. Eva - thanks for doing some research on hotels. So looking forward to meeting everyone. Laura - crossing fingers and saying prayers for good report for your Dad. You are such a loving daughter to take such good care of them. Your Mom is also lucky to have you to take her to doctor. 100 degree + heat index in K.C. Have to wait until after 9 pm to walk the dog. Yuk. Have been spending less time on computer, so need to catch up on messages.
  2. Phyll - I want to see a pix of you and new dog. I have a maltipoo (11 lbs.) and I OWE him a walk every day. No excuses, he deserves a walk.
  3. Janet - I'm in and will also have a room alone. I've learned how important my alone time is to recharge and later enjoy the group. I'm delighted that you have taken the lead to plan and whatever $$$ is fine with me. So excited to meet and spend time together.
  4. Lori - I visited the John Hardy factory and showroom when I was in Bali. DH instructed me to buy some things before I left the states. So I have some wonderful memories of the trip and John Hardy pieces.
  5. Well done and much congratulations. You deserve to be very proud. Joyce
  6. Congrats, Kathy. You go girl.
  7. Hi everyone Doddie - hunger should stay away for 3 to 4 hours after eating. However, are you drinking while eating??? and waiting one hour after eating to begin drinking again?? If so, bet you need a fill. Like Phyl, I have hovered @ 200 since March 15th. And, like you, had weighed that for a very long time. PA @ doctor's office advised that many clients seem to stall between 200 and 215. She recommended hard knuckle your weigh past it, then the weight loss will kick in again and fills can be added. We can DO THIS. Joyce
  8. Old One - love your sense of humor. Way to go on 2 lb loss in 2 weeks. We will chip away until success is ours. Good work. Joyce
  9. Kurby - great choices. Proud of you. Enjoy sandwiches while you can still eat bread, but 1/2 rather than whole. Glad you are posting. Joyce
  10. Eva - love the pix at the falls. And the agave is gorgeous - none of those in Kansas. lol Love your new cut/color. My picture was taken at a GS graduation party. I threw away all my clothes that I was wearing that day and prayed the pix would never be posted. Horrible. I thought I looked good that day. My DH (photographer) explained - NO PROFILES at my age. Only front on pix with chin up. So don't feel bad about yours. Love your smile and your heart.
  11. One - your title says it all. One day at a time. We have good ones and bad ones. Life runs like a stream. BUT, with the band and our attitude, we can get back on track. We are here to support you. Joyce
  12. Laura - give Nels a kiss and congrats from me. Party sounded wonderful. Anxious to hear from Julie with results of CT scan. Helped GD with books for her salon today. Then out to dinner with friends tonight. Janet - I'll take the wind and skip the heat. We would make a good pair. Good weekends to all my friends here.
  13. Julie - you are such a loving, generous, giving lady. Your work touches so many lives. Hoping the CAT scan can shed some light to solutions to relieve pain. Pam - divorce wars are emotional hell. Please commit to loving yourself and NOT eating over this. We all tried eating away our problems and we all know it does NOT work. My heart is with you, sweetie. Dassi is a darling to help you, Jodi. Love her folding clothes and showing consideration for your time. Janet - thanks for your input. I WILL break this stall and move forward. Nothing can stop me. Having lots of maintenance done at the house. Today had all trees trimmed and yesterday landscaper trimmed all the front area of the house. Looks great. Our neighborhood is about 30 years old, and I'm lucky how well owners maintain their property. Nice cool day today. Great for walks with Gizmo. Joyce
  14. Lori - thank you for sharing your experience relative to fills. Sounds very sensible, and look how well it worked as your tool with all your hard work. Thank you. Joyce
  15. kidlehopper - I'm 67 and had surgery this year. We are NEVER too old to become healthier and happier. Welcome. Joyce
  16. Arlene - this is a safe place for all of us to share. Amazing how private we must be in other venues about the actual #. Our souls hold the value of our being. The rest is only a shell (like our car) to take us thru life. Those who really matter, understand that fact. However, for our health and to live life to the fullest, we strive for a more comfortable body. AND, we shall achieve it. Joyce
  17. Cheri - congrats on grant. Linda - love the pictures. Karen - have a great weekend at the lake. Arlene - congrats on 2 more lbs. You are doing so well. I asked today about a nutritionist. They said, check with your health insurance. The only one they use, I don't care for. Not the kind of support from the practice that I had hoped to receive. Saw the P.A. today and made an appt to see doctor again in a month. She advised NOT to fill. After questioning me and listening, she feels a nutritionist would help expand my food choices, so I need to find one. Also - after checking my file, she advised I have 6 cc in the band - I had been told only 2.5cc. Also, interesting, she shared that many patients reach a stall between 215 and 200. Just have to break thru it with careful eating and then the weight will continue to shed. Did any of you experience a stall at that time? Joyce
  18. Karen - your look beautiful. Love the picture and the woman in it. Wish I had been there for that delicious lunch too.
  19. Linda - thanks for sharing your experience regarding fills. I'll let you know what happens. Phyll - check your area for local rescue groups for yorkies. Also Pet adoption: Want a dog or cat? Adopt a pet on Petfinder each might have small babies. My maltipoo was to be under 10 lbs., but is 11. Just exactly the baby you are seeking. His name could be velcro - always touching me and on my lap.
  20. panfisher - you are doing great. Keep up the good work. Mujer - I still drink Protein shakes each morning - 27 grams Protein Sometimes I add a ta. Peanut Butter for more protein 4 oz. salmon, chicken, tuna salad, chicken salad - one of these for lunch and one for dinner Journal to be sure you are getting 75 grams or more of protein daily. That will help with the hair loss. Are you drinking your Water? Ice tea, crystal light? cytomax is a Protein Drink you might try too - 40 grams Your loss is wonderful, keep it up
  21. Karen - MN lake trip sounds like fun. When do the mosquitos take vacation. I'd like to come while they are away. What do you do at the salons??? Are you a stylist?
  22. Great, Ang. Please pass on what you learn for all of us. Joyce
  23. Welcome back, Karen. I agree, you are one tough lady. No drugs for all that dental work. That smile will be gorgeous.
  24. Lori- wonderful to reconnect with a former friend. Interesting that your lives took you both from Utah to California and back (with stop over in Colorado for you) Laura - love the handprint kit idea. And pool area sounds nice and clean and yippee - new grill. Will be a great party. Arlene - good job on exercise. Janet - yippee, power failure = unexpected day off work. Enjoy your workout with trainer tonight. Julie - sending hugs. I agree, let the food be catered this time. Can't believe how many events you schedule/organize/head. You are one amazing lady. Loved Judy's advice on housebreaking dogs. Makes such good sense. Need to go Water flowers. I see the dr. again on Wednesday for possible 4th fill. Fear getting too tight. Will insist on caution. Continue to hold @ exactly 200 lbs. Those figures beginning with 1__ are so near. Joyce
  25. I'm not an expert on the healing, but I have read how important it is to allow proper healing. My therapist recommended a book written by Terry Simpson, MD - Weight Loss Surgery, A lighter look...at a Heavy Subject. I use it for reference. You will not have much restriction until after the fills begin.
