  1. I am almost 3 months post-op and I have a few drinks one maybe two nights a week. I used to be a very heavy (no pun intended) beer drinker. Now my drink of choice is sugar free cranberry juice and vodka.
  2. Today is the day I go for fill #3 and get my "official" weight. I'm very excited to see how I feel after this fill and see waht kind of restriction I have going forward.
  3. replace food with a new hobby as I plan to do with golf...lol
  4. thats great, thank you so much. I will give it a try!
  5. Good for you!!! Congrats on your progress.
  6. This sounds interesting. I may try it next week after my fill on Tuesday.
  7. I just tried to set up a logging page at Dailyplate.com. I put in my info and set it to lose 2lbs a week. What do most of you eat calorie wise a day? To obtain 2lbs a week the number seemed a lot higher then I would of thought.
  8. [ Heres another question, When you guys get fills and are on the 2 days of liquid, then 2 days of soft foods.. and then so on do you guys still work out ? Do you think i should work out? I have gone from the doctor's office right after a fill straight to the gym, so no reason you couldn't go as far as I know.
  9. I hear ya! If I'm busy at work or home and preoccupied with yard work or something I'm fine. But now in this terrible time of winter and stuck in the house I have to remind myself to get the hell out of the fridge or the cabinets. And it's not because I am hungry it's just a lifetime of bad habits.
  10. I had my surgery on Nov 18th 2009 and I have had pizza and wings. Like you said not often but I have tried all the things I used to love. I had no problems. As far as things getting stuck you will unfortunately have to learn that all on your own. A lot of people suggest walking around helps.
  11. Thank you very much. I have had a great couple weeks of really trying to eat right and have spent a lot of time in the gym (nice now that all the New Years Resolution folks have already given up hahaha) So between that and the last fill I really have had a pretty good month. I am now looking forward to going next week and getting another fill and having another great month!
  12. yea I have just never gotten that, I hear people say "oh gosh I'm starving" and i think to myself i don't ever remember feeling that way hahaha
  13. Thank you and yes it all makes sense. I hope I get to the point soon where I just eat a small potion and I am full. I hope after this next fill I will really start to feel restriction. One big problem is I am never hungry, I eat just to eat or becasue it is there.
  14. I got my first fill of 4cc's at 5 weeks out. I felt it just wasn't enough and went back a week later and got 2 more cc's
  15. mine is trb1577@aol.com
  16. I had my last fill on 1/7/10 and since then I've lost another 14lbs or so. Now I feel like I have no restriction and I am scheduled to go back next Tues on the 9th of Feb for another fill. But my question is, is it possible to have no restriction and still have "stuck episodes"? I don't really feel any restriction and I feel like I can eat more then I should and then I will eat the wrong thing and it will get stuck, but not everytime.
  17. No I have not tried them. I just started shopping at Trader Joe's so I will have to keep an eye out for them thanks!
  18. I wish that were the case, I am not eating too much. I have literally maybe 2 or 3 bites and I feel it get stuck and then I just pace around the house until I convince myself that it's coming back up.
  19. well I had chicken and brocoli and that was no good. So I figured it was the chicken so this last time I had beef and brocoli and ended up with the same result.
  20. I have now tried Chinese food twice and both time it had gotten stuck and ended up coming back up. Probably not the healthiest food choice to make but I thought I would be alright with just a small portion. Has anyone else had a problem with Chinese?
  21. I was banded in November and after 11 days you should be fine to go away. But I would say booze is not a good idea, especially beer. As far as food by the 11th day I was onto creamy soups and protein shakes but that was all at home so not sure about going out to eat. Good luck!
  22. Wii is a lot of fun and you will be doing stuff an won't even realize you are exercising hahaha.
  23. I alternate days. One day I will have Kellogs Nutri-Grain cereal bar, then every other day I will have a Carnation vanilla protein shake thingie. On the weekend I may have some eggs with hot sauce.
  24. Ok thanks, that was exactly the kid of answer I was looking for. Good to know I can try it and will not break it. But yes I agree hahaha I don't think I will be doing too much jumping up and down on it.
  25. I will have to look for that on Comcast. Thats pretty much what I do at the gym now, I usually do at least 30 mins on the treadmill and then some weigh lifting.
