  1. As May got into full swing, my exercise fizzled. With soccer, scouts, birthday boy, end of school year festivities we've been somewhere almost every night and weekend for 4 weeks. However! Scouts was over this past weekend (a few things this summer scattered here and there), soccer ended tonight until August, the birthday festivities have passed, and tomorrow is my sons last day of school. Tomorrow night is our first totally free night in weeks!!! So, I guess I'm going to back up and restart zombie 5K. I leave for vacation a week from Friday (Florida keys for a week!!!!!) and when I get bak I'll have to start getting serious again. The awesome part here is that in the past, when life gets crazy and we're grabbing quick meals and not exercising (happens every October and May) I gain weight, this year I continued to slowly lose. I consider it success!!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 213.2
  2. I think I was around 6 weeks when I was allowed to start, maybe 8. They have been a regular part of my diet since that point. No problems at all, info use a fat free dressing and typically have turkey, cheese, and boiled egg whites on them.
  3. A chocolate chip doesn't have enough sugar or fat to make you sick....a bag of chocolate chips does! If a small piece of chocolate or a dozen chocolate chips keep you from eating a snickers bar I think it's worth it!
  4. Mine was not intended to be a stepping stone.....but had so many issues with my band an then eventually slippage. So yeah, it turned out to be a stepping stone but that was not my intent. If I'd known then what I know now I'd have gone straight to RNY.
  5. Mine was on the back of my left forearm....seemed weird but really was a great spot. Didn't get caught on things, I had full use of my hand and elbow, best IV I've ever had
  6. Makes me want to punch em in the eye....ranks right up there with 'she's got such a great personality!' Gah!!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 213.2
  7. I hope to NEVER again hear the phrase 'you have such a pretty face' ugh!!!! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 213.2
  8. While we're at it I've hot an unopened tub of the unjury chicken broth that's unopened.
  9. Just keep sipping. I was the same way. 4-6 weeks later it got better. I used to drink probably 120+ ounces a day and suddenly I was down to 40-60, takes some getting used to!
  10. Couple of thing here...I wasn't allowed in a pool for 6 weeks or allowed to lift more than 10 pounds for 6 weeks...I would say doubtful but your doc may have very different rules than mine did! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 213.2
  11. I'm at 42 lbs and had surgery 5 days after you....as long as we keep going the right direction I think we are golden! The whole 'I feel great part' is really what matters right????
  12. They were approved 3 days post op for me as long as they were thin. Not something I'd eat now but post-op when I was so limited for sure.
  13. FYI eating as scout camp is almost impossible!!!!!!
  14. Kind of a weird one but just finished packing to go camping with cub scouts for the weekend. My clothes take up so much less space!!! Had to go get a smaller bag to take! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 213.2
  15. Me too, very few issues unless its super sweet or super greasy. meat, chicken, raw fruits and veggies, breads.... None of it bothers me (naturally I can only eat small amounts....) HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 213.2
