I'm gonna hold off as long as possible .... im sure i will need one eventually but im losing about 2 pds a week and im ok with that when it stops or slows i will fill but until then i'm gonna push on with out one

i am 6 wks post op and i lose 2 pds a week steady ! im not hungry and i dont want a fill yet. im not sure if its what "restriction"is but i weigh my protein and measure my veggies and carbs and i get full for about 3-4 hrs i have head hunger some times but for the most part im never starving or experience "bandster hell" for that im thankful so for me i say im managing without a fill for now

yes it happens to me too....I'm not sure why i'm just happy that it takes less food to quiet it down

they have p90 no x that is a little milder but still challenging im doing that my goal is to do it 3 days a week and walk/elliptical 2 days a week i just started last saturday.... im hoping the excercise will kick up the weight loss i go for first fill thursday

i never really regretted my choice but it was alot more painful than i thought it would be i wasnt 100% until about 2 wks post op. i am lucky that at 5 wks out i do not suffer from hunger . my appetite is still very much controlled. today i would say yes i would do it again! best of luck to you!

for me the headache is the first sign of dehydration.... is she getting enough to drink?

i was in alot of pain for about 3 days pain meds controlled it but it was there! i did not have a lot of gas pain! iam 2 weeks post op and down 13 pds and i feel great i have a slight twinge in the port site but its more of an irritant than actual pain

i lost 20 pds in the 6 month preop. 9 pounds post op im 6 days out. and iam very afraid of shedding the weight because in the past ive lost weight and then sabotaged myself when i was slim and had too much attention so this time i plan to get a therapist

i have 5 incisions and my port is to the left of my belly button . i didnt have terrible gas but i did have more pain than i expected . i am 6 days post op took 2 wks off not sure when i will be ready to go back .:smile2: My stats : weight on day approval 260 weight day of surgery 250 weight today 241

6 days post op had my first check up im down 9 pds since surgery doc has put me on full liquids which is great because i was getting hungry .... so hope i can stay fuller longer :rolleyes2:

ok i am 5 day post-op and still have port pain it feels like gas is trapped behind it > it is frustrating cause i feel great otherwise but when i stand up the pain in the site is horrid so is this normal ??? im going to the dr tomorrow but just wondering if you all have any advice. you are my band twin how are u ? i was banded on 9/16 also and dont think i could go back to work today so you go girl:thumbup: i feel better everyday but im not at 100% yet maybe 75% lets keep in touch and encourage each other on our journey

i had surgery on 9/16 and i could not go back to work yet even if i wanted to. it gets better every day but i am not ready to be up for 10hrs a day everyone is different best of luck to you SIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

banded on the 17th and still in pain not alot of pain i guess its more discomfort. my stomach is swolling on one side but i am letting the gas out but i have difficulty standing up straight is this normal and should it get better ? i go see my dr on wed but just looking for some input from people ahead of me thanks

i was banded on 9/16 and i have to say the pain was much more than i expected i took all the pain meds offered. i stayed 24 hrs in hospital and wanted one more day i was in PAIN. today is day3 and iam much better i can get out the bed by myself i can walk upright im finally begining to think its gonna be ok. i had an excellent nurse and i was in a bariatric unit so they gave us excellent care. I am at about 55% I cant wait to be at 100%the gas is horrible but at least its coming out :thumbup:

surgery sept 16.. im still in alot of pain much more pain than i anticipated but its getting a lil better everyday ..... just didnt expect to be in so much initial pain. still not sorry yet.....:scared2:

Surgery is on the 16th ... this liquid diet is very hard today im trying to stay the course but tonight is difficult so far so good maybe i should just go to sleep!!

hi ! everyone just checking in still hanging in there on this liquid diet so glad mines is not as strict as others 2 shakes and a lean dinner! Friday was really bad i got into an argument with my boyfriend and yup u guessed it didnt know how to cope with out eating didn't realize that i eat when i get upset but im proud of myself i went for a walk and drank an diet iced tea so not so bad but i really wanted pizza:tt1: yesterday we had a end of the summer bbq i ate a turkey burger and some deviled eggs i dont feel like it was the worse because i could have done far worse so i take it as one of my first challenges i didnt win but i felt like i broke even....... 10 days to go!!!!

i have ghi and it took about 7 days after they submitted paper work for approval > im taking off 2 wks even though i have a desk job . im scared to go back earlier best of luck on your journey
