December Delights 2009
HI GUYS! I keep saying how sad I am that our group isn't more active, but now I see that you are all posting here! This is awesome, I need some friends that are going through the same thing at the same time! I am really excited because I lost 80 lbs so far, but I have a hard time sharing with anyone because I feel weird if they ask how and I dont know them that well. Plus, kind of ashamed that I had 80 to lose and 110 STILL left to go  I am having my wedding on October 21 and I hope to be under 200. I kind of jumped the gun and bought my dress and it wont really fit if I dont lose at least 40. Was that dumb? Well my rate has been really consistent at 10 lbs a month, so i thought it would be okay. Oh! I also wanted to celebrate because I am no longer MORBIDLY obese!!! just regular obese. ha

Walking Playlist
OMG! this is a really good idea with the fast walking through the run intervals! I want to c25k so bad but I know I am too large and it could really damage me. I have been walking 2.5 to 3 miles a day but the fast walking could really bump me up on the fat burning. I also started at 326 and I am 245 now. I gotta do more or I am going to get flabby!!

Weight loss goals
my doctor asked my weight goal. I said 135 bc I want to be in a healthy formal range for 5'6". He asked the last time I weighed that much. I laughed really hard and said I was about 10 years old. HAHA:tongue_smilie:

personal approach to weight loss and your band
I do not restrict myself from any food at all and I pretty much do not exercise unless you count small and seldom walks up the block. I sometimes wonder how much better I would be doing if I tried harder.

Health care reform passed
I literally almost DIED 5 years ago because I couldn't afford going to a university and having health insurance. I was afraid of the bills so I waited until it was life or death. A friend had to drag me to the ER. It would have cost nothing to give me antibiotics but instead I was hospitalized for 2 weeks with a bladder, kidney, and blood infection. I had to drop out of school because of this and I STILL have debt I can't pay off. :tt1: this incident ruined my life and could have cost everyone a lot less stress and money. I still haven't completed school because i failed out of all my classes from missing too many from being sick for weeks. It is just my story. I hope that no one ever has to go through that or struggle even in their mid twenties just to get a Bachelor's Degree. (depression from this most definitely contributed to at least a hundred pound weight gain.)

need advice
i dont think it's too tight! i think you are little swollen and besides, it is good that you stay full for a long time and can't eat too much. just be safe when eating and keep it up! if you can drink water and protein, but stay full off of very little food, that sounds PERFECT!

How long does it take to eat a 'regular' meal?
maybe 15mins? but i only have 2-3 oz per :*(

Too tight vs. Sweet Spot

Expectations and experience: how do they match up for you?
I just don't understand why some people who say they are doing everything to the T are not successful. I am not bragging by any means, but I have already lost 33% of my excess weight in 3.5 months. I don't even excercise. I have a very sedentary lifestyle. Your body will eat your fat for fuel if you don't put enough food in it, right? Esspecially if you consume lots of Protein. Do you think some people are wearing their bands looser or something? I am only allowed 2 oz every meal, but I see some people saying they eat a cup or MORE! I want everyone to be successful and I think some doctors are not being strict enough with people maybe? Let's talk about this :blushing:

I have heard that with this theory, if you keep your weight the same for 2 years, you can reset.
