  1. I have a lump where my port is. if i turn to the side, you can see where it is at. it looks like a growth. i am not happy about that.
  2. i know you said you have a can of cranberry sauce, but if you get fresh cranberries, fresh cranberry sauce is way better. and you can tweak it to your liking. i like to add a splashe of prange juice while is cooking, and a couple of orange slices. it's a bit hit in my hourse, and only takes 10 mins to make. there's a recipe on the back of the cranberry bag.
  3. I never thought mushy food would sounds so good, lol. one of the few things the dr told me was only a week on the liqiuds, so i got to test out some mashed potatoes yesterday. best thing i've tasted in a looong time
  4. Hi everyone, I just found out about the sight a couple days ago. I was banded on nov 12. reading all the different posts on here kinda makes me feel stupid in relation to my band, lol. I didn't meet my surgeon until the day of my surgery, and I have no idea when my first fill is. all the direction i got diet wise was a gneric flier saying these foods are ok at this time, but i was never told how much i should try to eat or drink at one time. no clue how many calories i'm supposed to aim for each day, or how much protein and what-not. has anybody else has as confusing time as me?
  5. That makes me feel so much better. I was starting to think I was given weird instructions. Thank you
  6. I know that it's worth it in the end. the thing that seems to be confusing me is my post-op instructions have me starting mushy/soft foods at the begining of week 2, and it seem like in every other thread that i've read its seems like everyone else is on liquids for at least 2 weeks.
  7. Hi everyone. i've been having the same problem. I was banded on the 12th, and I am starving. i just figured it was because i'm on liquids, and not regular food. i'm glad ro know i'm not the only one going through it and it's normal. my only difference though, is that my post-op instructions don't have me on liquids for 2 weeks. my instructions have starting on soft foods at week 2. i was exctied when i saw that, but i may rethink that after reading what everyone else said.
  8. hi everyone, my name is Sara. I was banded last week, and it's been an interesting week, to say the least. I live in a house where there is always food, so its seems like something is always taunting me. I'm looking forward to making it to the soft foods. I'm tired of the broth, but i know that it's just a small step to a huge outcome.
