  1. I feel the exact same way. Like I can eat most things without any problem and more than I thought I would be able too. I am making myself stop but the weight is not coming off! I am also not gaining but the weight was coming off so nicely in the beginning. My first fill is Jan 8th. Hope it helps. My surgery was Dec 3rd.
  2. I am 3 wks out and feel the same way!! I lost 18 pounds and now my scale won't budge! I hope I notice the weight coming off after I get a fill or two. I still have 2 wks until my first fill too. It is very frustrating but I am trying to stay positive.
  3. I am 3 wks post-op and even though I am eating about 1/3 of what I used to eat I feel like I am eating too much! The only thing that is giving me problems is bread. I haven't ate any steak or anything like that. Just soft meat and mashed potatoes and things like that. Just wondering what everyone is eating 3 wks out. I am also at a stand still on the scale...its not going up but not going down either. I have lost 18 pounds so far, but it won't budge. My first fill is in a couple of weeks.
  4. Well got my surgery and I am 2 weeks out. I am down 18 pounds. Everything went well. I just can't wait until my first fill! I am starting to feel hungry now and I feel like at times I am eating too much!
  5. Good luck Gingerjane..The process will go by quick and before you know it you will be banded!
  6. Good luck to you! Let us know how everything goes.
  7. You are doing wonderful Bobbie. 22 pounds is great! The first 15 pounds was easy, the last 3 pounds took longer....hoping for it to start coming off again after my first fill. I am also working on will power alone right now. It's tough at times, especially around the holidays. Everyone at work has been bringing in goodies and Ive just been watching them eat it. Nervous Newbie- There is nothing wrong with 12 pounds. Just think that's 12 less pounds then you were a couple of weeks ago! I think we will drop more quickly after our 1st fill!
  8. Happy Holidays to you as well. You are doing great! How was your first fill? I have 3 weeks until I get my first fill.
  9. Thanks nervous newbie--We were banded the very same day! How is it going for you? The weight was coming off really fast in the beginning. Slowing down now. The doctor says that's normal. I get my first fill in 3 wks also. Hoping that will help alot. They say it will. I am down 18 pounds. How about you?
  10. That is sooooo awesome. Congrats to you!
  11. Just Ice-- I just thought you were a bit harsh that's all. All I was saying was it is difficult after the surgery. You are very weak and it is tempting to have a little something to give you some energy. I do wish you and everyone the best of success in their weight loss journey as we are all in the same situation. Happy Holidays.
  12. Mine was one wk of clear liquids followed by one wk of full liquids, them mushes then reg food. Everyone's seems to be different.
  13. Considering all of the "Private Messages" ive recieved from people who agree. But anyway we will see how you do Post procedure. Good day....Seems if your getting lap band your will power in the past hasn't been to good either! LOL.
  14. Congrats to all December Bandsters. I was banded on Dec 3rd. Doing well, and back to work. Down 17 pounds so far!! The first few days were tough but its all worth it! It's going to be a great Christmas!

I am down 8 pounds in the last 10 days for my preop but I sure could go for a burger right now.LOL What can I expect on the day of surgery?
  18. My doctor has me on modified diet for 2 wks prior to sx. It consists of 2 Protein shakes, 2 lean cuisine meals(less than 220 cal each) and 1 cup of vegs and 1/2 cup of fruit per day. 24 hours prior liquids only. Down 8 lbs in 10 days following this. 3 DAYS LEFT unitl BANDED!
  19. Congrats! I have 6 days till i will be banded. So excited! Take care of yourself. Keep us updated.
  20. The EAS shakes are very good. (I prefer chocolate). I also like the power better than the pre-made shakes. Buy your self a shaker and go for it! You will notice weight loss and more energy!

  22. Good for you! I was so fortunate to get my approved so quickly. I have federal BCBS. It only took 5 days for approval. Good luck with your surgery and let me know how it goes. My date is Dec 3rd.
  23. Over 17 pounds in one week is fantastic!! Good for you. How long do you have to do your pre-op diet for? I have to do mine for 2 wks. My surgery date is Dec 3rd. I am hoping to lose another 8-10 pounds by then.
  24. I agree with Northern Mist. Pre-op diet will do it. I have lost 5 lbs in 4 days. I am allowed to have 2 lean cuisine meals, 2 protein shakes, 1 cup vegs and 1/2 cup of fruit per day and lots of water....you can do it! Good luck
  25. Well it sounds like a week should be fine then. I am getting a little nervous as I get closer to my surgery date(DEC 3rd) but very excited! Pre-op diet going well. I am down 5 lbs in 4 days
