  1. I agree with the coffee drinkers. I drink mine in the morning with a shot of skim milk. Some days, it is the only thing my band will allow down. I HATE de-caf. I drink ice teas through-out the day, but need to start the morning with a hot cup of real coffee.
  2. WOW!!!!:tt2:, you are doing fantastic! Keep up the good work, and hopefully, when the will power goes to the wayside, the band will take over.
  3. I wouldn't worry for a few days. I am always on liquids for 2 days after fills. If you can't do anything by Friday, thenmaybe you should worry, a little. It took about a week for me to adjust to my 2ndfill, tho'. Karen
  4. Visited and commented on your blog. Goodluck.kll724
  5. Yay! You are doing great. So close to your goal. You are about 1 wwek ahead of me. I am about 20-30 near my goal, depending on whether I go by mine or my doctor's. Good luck. I hope that you and I can reach and maintain our goal. Karen
  6. AWW!! Aren't they cute!
  7. Sorry Cristie, for misspelling your 1st name. Karen:frown:
  8. Go Christie, You can do it.You will find a lot of cheer leaders on lapbandtalk. I have been away from Lane bryant for a few months. It is nice to throw the catalogs into recycle. More fun than that is to go into a shop and say, "Oh, no, I like this but its too big for me!" Keep up the good work, I know that you can get there. You have taken the biggest step already. Hurray, for you. Karen
  9. I have coffee, then my shower and get dressed. At that point, I can eat oatmeal or some other hot cereal. I can't eat anything more until around 10:30.
  10. amazing job! Keep up the good work! I was banded in Oct 2009. You have me beat, but I am clogging along. I have been on vacation for 2 weeks. I bought a pair of slacks befoe I left, they are big on me already! I don't have a scale, but seem to be down about 5 more pounds, for a total of 45 since surgery.
  11. I'll second that! (Are you in the boil water area of Mass? Well, wherever you are, Florida is better. Haha! We are actually leaving Florida for a month. I know that by the time I return, I will really miss it a lot.) Hope that you get your job, and I know that the new pants will look great and give you much confidence! Best of luck on your interview.
  12. They were on my okay to have list. I was using lollipops, so I didn't accidently swallow them. They helped quite a bit.
  13. That is so exciting! Good for you and you will KNOCK them DEAD!!!! 102 lbs is nothing to whisper about, shout from the rooftops, yeah, Jerseygirl...Best wishes for your bowling tournament, too.
  14. WOW!!!! you look great, and I know that summer awaits you, too! Hurray, and do feel free to "toot your own horn"! I hope to join you one day.:thumbup:
  15. Hi Folks, well I am down 13.6 lbs, but need to loose another 10.4 to make my goal. I don't think it is likely because I only have 7 more days, but this challenge has been good for all of us!
  16. I achieved restriction on my 2nd fill. I am at 5 1/2. My 1st fill was 3 cc, 2nd was 2 1/2. I did not get a fill this month or last month. I will be going back in June. I may be at Drs. goal by then. He goes by BMI, not weight. He wants me at about 30-28, as he says older ladies (over 60) look better there. I don't resent that, as he is older than me. He had his surgery done about 5 years ago, so he knows everything we are going through.
  17. Good advice from Jill. She is right on. It has been about 6 moths for me. I am still learning. But, slow and steady as the turtle goes. About 2 lbs a week is a good weight loss. Best of luck to you. Karen
  18. I had my surgery on Oct 30, 2009. Both I and my room mate spent the night, as neither of our insurance would pay unless was overnight stay. She was quite sick, as she is diabetic. I was up and walking around the hospital with my IV pole. I walked around all day and 2 x at night, as I, also, could not sleep. But, I live and hour from the hospital, I would not have liked to gotten home and needed the nurse. All in all it was an ok time.
  19. You said it, Girl. I hated some stalls that you actually had to straddle the commode to get into the stall. Yucky!! Well, I finally don't have to worry because I am below 200lbs. I can fit stalls, now.
  20. I am now considering a bracelet, as I was reading the op's response. That makes a lot of sense incase of an accident. I, also, have th ecard in my wallet, until I get a bracelet, that will have to do. My vacation starts in 2 weeks, not enough time to plan for a bracelet. Thanks for the idea, tho'.
  21. No, tuna salad is one of my staples, along with chicken salad, and have lately added egg salad. I am a natural eater, or should I say straight, a little mayo and that's it. So, if you are adding anything else, maybe that was the culprit, not the tuna. I have a lot of trouble with other meats, but not tuna. Good luck, maybe you will get the answer from others.
  22. WOW!!!! is all I have to say!
  23. Love this! Yeah, could use a couple. I just have started ordering foods that I can share or appetizers instead. I am always on the search for a good crab cake. Usually they can be found in an appetizer. But, I do have trouble throwing things out, too. I am learning, quickly, however!
  24. I find that I have to add fiber to my drinks and I eat hot cereal in the am with fiber, too. If I still have problems, I eat a couple of hot prunes, that usually fixes the problems, but I am regular person, so even 1 day makes me full of Sh*t!!!
  25. After my fill, I noticed that my port was rounded instead of just flat. I think that is the fill making it so. My port is sometimes noticeable, but it is fine. I did have a ahaha point jus the other day, I was carrying a box, which I used to use my stomach to prop on, well my port is right there, now I have to use my arms for support, an dnot my stomach.
