  2. Wow! Were you in the hospital for 3 days, Arkansas? Some folks stay for 4 hours, I stayed overnight. You must have traced a track into the floor. I walked every hour during the day, and part of the night. You sound like me. I am glad you brought your art supplies, there is just so much daytime TV most folks can stand. Haha! Glad you are back home,(or soon will be) and hope that you feel better. Karen(kll724)
  3. Hi Shante, I am in Lakeland, Fl. I went to Dr. Grossbard in Zephyrhills. His group is Pasco Surgical Associates, Florida Obesity Surgical Associates. Love him and his office. I don't know anything about using Tricare, but I am sure that there office has any information you would need. If you are interested, feel free to private message me. Karen(kll724).
  4. Hi Lisa, welcome to our group. I am going into my year. I was banded on Oct.30,2009. In fact, until I wrote that, I was not even aware a year was almost gone! Yeah me! I met goal about 2 months ago. Now I am in maintenance, which to my point of view, is harder. Good luck to you. Karen(kll724).
  5. :wink2::thumbup::thumbup:You go!!!:biggrin:
  6. Good for you, I. also, hated my fat clothes. I have gone through my closet like 3-4x since staring on my journey. Some things had only been worn one time. But, I am sure that someone will put them to good use. You found that out when you had your yardsale. Congrats on your weight loss journey, best of luck to everyone! Karen(kll724)
  7. Wow! you have a great attitude, best of luck to you. Here's hoping for a lot less f you in the future. Karen(kll724).
  8. I mix my vanilla protein with banana and peanut butter. It adds extra protein and gives it yummy flavor.
  9. I love my Osterizer. And some Walmarts carry small personal size attachments for making smoothies. I did buy it at walmart, not sure what I paid, but I am sure it was well under $100.00.
  10. God bless and let your surgeons hand be touched by Him. Good luck, Karen (kll724)
  11. Congrats, Cherishthe past, It is a wonderful feeling! I, also, am in 10 or a tight 8. I moved from Bowie, Md 4 years ago. :thumbup: Karen(kll724)
  12. Hi all, Surgeon rechecked my band, today. The placement looked fine under floroscope. So, he replaced some of my fill. I asked for 1 cc, I think he put 2 1/4. He said if I start pb'ing again, I should call him. He doesn't think I should loose anymore, but I don't want to gain, either. I am happy with my loss, and if I do lose a 1lb or 2, it wouldn't be so bad. Loving life, now. Karen (kll724)
  13. Oh, I absolutely agree. Overheard my surgeon telling a teacher who was saying that flu is going around her school. ""If you get the flu, come here and have the fluid removed, because productive burping is different than vomiting!" Vomiting will cause the problem that you mentioned. I am going through a slippage problem, where I had all my fill removed. I am due back to dr on Oct.6, and am hoping to have a slight fill put back in. Good luck in your healing. Karen(kll724)

  19. My husband, finally, used his Xpress redi-go today. He used it for making meatballs. The meatballs cooked without frying, and were delish! They were just about the best I have ever had. :thumbup:
  20. My husband bought 4. He thought that when they asked how many, and he said 2, he would get 2. But, it was buy 1, get the 2nd one, so we now have 4. Christmas presents, I guess. Have not tried it yet. I haven't seen the commercial.:thumbup:
